Easy Way To Get Rid Of Ants 🐜
1. Start with an empty clean spray bottle so the mixture stays fresh and works properly. If the bottle was used before, rinse it well first.
2. Pour 1 cup of clean water into the spray bottle. Water helps dilute the mixture so it sprays evenly without becoming too strong.
3. Add 1 cup of white vinegar. Vinegar helps remove the scent trail ants leave behind for other ants to follow.
4. Add 2 tablespoons of Sunlight Dishwashing Liquid or any dish soap. The soap helps the spray stick to surfaces and helps get rid of the ants faster.
5. Close the spray bottle tightly to avoid leaking.
6. Shake the bottle gently for a few seconds until the ingredients combine well. Don’t shake too hard because the soap can create too much foam.
7. Find the areas where ants are moving the most:
kitchen counters
corners
near bins
windows
doors
under sinks
along walls and ant trails
8. Spray directly onto the ant trail until the surface is lightly wet. Focus especially on the line the ants are following.
9. Leave the spray on the area for about 5–10 minutes so it can break the ants’ scent trail.
10. Wipe the area clean using a cloth, paper towel, or mop. Cleaning the trail helps stop more ants from returning.
11. If you notice where the ants are entering from, spray around that area again for extra protection.
12. Repeat once or twice daily for a few days if the ants keep coming back, especially after cooking or spilling sugary foods.
