Welcome to Blue Sky South Africa's Official page! We're your go-to source for all things AdBlue®, the essential solution for modern diesel engines and environmental sustainability. Here's a little more about us and what we stand for:
About AdBlue®:
AdBlue® is the registered name for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), a clear and non-toxic liquid consisting of 32.5% urea and de-ionized water. It plays a vital role in the operation of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, helping reduce harmful emissions in heavy-duty diesel vehicles using Euro V & VI engines. Environmentally Friendly:
Unlike diesel, AdBlue® is environmentally friendly and doesn't harm our planet. It's a crucial component in achieving > 80% NOx reduction rates, which not only reduces emissions but also maximizes engine efficiency, potentially saving 3-5% on fuel. Quality Assurance:
Our AdBlue® manufactured by Blue Sky is carefully blended according to the ISO 22241 specification and verified by a European laboratory. Our manufacturing processes are certified under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. certified: 0005416, ensuring top-notch quality. Distribution:
Viscol Eco Solution (PTY) Ltd, a BBB-EE level 2 company, proudly distributes AdBlue® manufactured by Blue Sky across Gauteng. Collection from our depot always welcome. We're also a trusted supplier to major automotive OEMs for first fills. Packaging Options:
We offer AdBlue® in IBCs for direct supply to hauliers' bases of operations and smaller packs for on-the-road convenience. Legal Compliance:
It's essential to purchase AdBlue® only from a licensee of the AdBlue® trademark registered by the Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. Remember, AdBlue® is not a diesel additive, so never add it directly to your fuel tank. Legal Overview:
The Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. is the custodian of the AdBlue® trademark. To market and sell genuine AdBlue®, it must be blended according to ISO 22241 specifications and certified by the Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. Common Misconception:
AdBlue® is NOT a fuel additive! Never add AdBlue® directly into your fuel tank. Stay informed, go green, and choose AdBlue® manufactured by Blue Sky for a cleaner and more efficient diesel experience. Join us on our mission to reduce emissions and protect our environment!
