Start getting your car detailed sooner rather than later! I have never had a first time detailing customer not be absolutely shocked at the result in the best way, try me! Stop going for cheap washes and valet services done by inexperienced staff only working for salary and get someone passionate about cleaning your car to the best level possible.

There are many people out there using the word Detailing because it sells, but few really know what it's about. It isn't frothing up an engine bay with as much soap as possible, rather understanding how it works and taking extra care like waiting for the engine to cool properly, covering the intake, on older cars shielding the distributor from water and not using high pressure around electrical components, not blasting an alternator with degreaser and water just so it looks good after the work is done instead taking the time to hand clean and cover before using possibly damaging water and soaps.

The interior of your car is made up of many different materials, delicate air vents and window button controls which need to be kept in perfect working order for your comfort, a screen or buttons on the center console and a screen or gauge cluster you look at every time you take a drive. Why not ONLY trust passionate specialists with those expensive and sometimes delicate components? I know I would.

They say if you love what you do you won't work a day in your life, I find this to be true with detailing for me. Every single time I wash a car, clean an interior, do a full detailing on a vehicle or enhance or correct paintwork I get lost in the work while doing it and forget about every problem I have or have had.

This profession wasn't even started intentionally... Initially I found myself frustrated with the result when I wash a vehicle and I started looking for help and found all the wonderful Detailing channels on Youtube and immediately began watching as much as I could. Interest faded at times then something would draw me back in again and so after about 3 years of washing my own vehicles and moving on to start detailing my employer's cars I couldn't, and didn't want to stop.

Now a few years later I'm here, helping people take care of their cars cosmetically on a different level to what most even know is possible, and the result and customer's reactions are what drive me to continue this work, it makes vehicle owners feel proud and happy, it makes me feel proud and happy, I love this work.

This was a small engine bay to clean yet still easy enough to get to all the spots. I find Porsche design very considerate, toward the owner first of all but also toward anyone working on the car or cleaning it. It's as if zie Germans thought of everything with these cars and I'm sure other detailers feel the same way. If you own a Porsche or if you're a detailer who works on one from time to time please leave a comment with your opinion on this I'd love to hear.

Cars like this 996 911 Carrera make the best detailing subjects. Well looked after but in need of a refresh to bring back the sharp look that fades with time. I love working on older loved cars.

I always start with the wheels, sometimes they can take an hour if there's lots of brake dust and road film buildup. Cleaning them properly and bringing the calipers' colour out really makes a big difference to the overall appearance of a clean car.
