What does a normal day at DDD actually look like? 🌱
Most people only see the finished projects, but behind the scenes there are constantly multiple teams, projects and ideas moving at the same time across Dullstroom.
🗑️ Today another waste bin was installed as part of the ongoing effort to keep the town cleaner.
♻️ We are also assisting with the installation of the new baler at Green Elephant Recycling. The machine unfortunately arrived with the incorrect phase motor, however the single-phase power pack is being fitted today. This is a very exciting step forward for recycling in Dullstroom and will greatly improve how recyclable material is processed and transported.
🌾 At Kruger Plein we currently have 5 bush cutters running full time. Between yesterday and today the team has already used close to 30 litres of fuel per day trying to bring the area under control, and they will most likely continue again tomorrow.
🚜 Work has also started on modifications to the trailer as preparations begin for Christmas in July.
🪧 The next two Heritage Walk plaques are nearly ready and should soon be added to the growing heritage route around town.
🧵 One of the projects we are especially excited about is the ladies sewing room at Epilepsy South Africa. With the assistance of Rebecca and the epilepsy team, the room has now finally been cleared out and prepared so that this entrepreneurial project can properly move forward.
DDD is never just one project. It is many small efforts happening simultaneously — all focused on improving Dullstroom one step at a time.
Thank you to everyone who continues supporting the work, whether through donations, encouragement, equipment, ideas or simply helping spread the word 😊
