What a privilege to visit this past weekend. And to experience it as guests! Yes, the name has changed (previously kerala) but it’s still the same magical place. Brilliant to see how the gardens have come on over the past couple of years and how the landscaped gardens are merging seamlessly with the endemic fynbos. These are some pics of and the surrounding gardens, which we designed and installed in stages over the past 4 years.

A long overdue visit to yesterday. Such a lovely time of year to visit this magnificent place with so much in flower. Also good to get some much needed design inspiration so late in the year when there’s not much left in the tank and the brain needs a recharge! Well done to the team at stellenberg for keeping this place looking the way it does. It is a massive undertaking and gardening on this scale is relentless and unforgiving. Feel very privileged to get to enjoy it.

I feel like I haven’t done a hand rendered Plan in way too long. They’re a bit of a labor of love, but they do tell the story pretty well and besides, clients absolutely love seeing them. This is about as much that I can give away of this one as the client hasn’t seen it yet!

Kids garden on the drawing board. This one is a lot of fun and is filled with great little features and things for the kids to experience. The existing slope will be split over 2 terraces. This allows for a lovely design opportunity- to make the journey up and down a fun experience through curved ramps, a climbing wall and a slide. The existing mass of gabion wall desperately needs some planting too. All in all lots of fun. Can’t wait to build this.
