Ben sent us a pair of Marbella soles to swap onto these beauties and we’re seriously loving the result. The switch from black to blue looks absolutely epic! 😍

🌟 2004 SL 80 🌟

You know those pairs you stick to one side thinking, “I’ll sort them out one day”? Well, these were exactly that 😅

We picked these up for a bargain because the rubber soles had gone completely rock solid, they were basically ice skates 🤣

After sitting on the project for a while, we finally got around to bringing them back to life. We managed to source another pair of SL 80s with usable rubber, but unfortunately they came with a navy midsole. It would’ve been much easier to swap the whole sole over… but that just wouldn’t have been right 😁

So instead, we removed the midsoles from the donor pair (some of you may have spotted them in yesterday’s Smurf post 🤣), carefully bonded the original midsoles onto the replacement soles, and then reattached the full sole unit to the 2004 pair.

Once the hard work was done, they got the full Steam & Deep Clean treatment too — after all that effort, it would’ve been rude not to 👍🏻

Now they’re ready to be worn and enjoyed again 🙌
