"Did you know there's an app for that"
Yeah... how could I forget my biggest competitor? Here's the thing:
It's the classic "big vs small".
There's always another option. There's always competition.
I ordered on "the app" this weekend. I thought, why not! I give people the peace of knowing their laundry is done for them and it's been a while since I've treated myself to someone doing MY laundry!
Imagine my disappointment when I received my clothes back COVERED in lint and hair, because the only thing guaranteed is "wash, dry, fold".
I'm not knocking the person who washed my order! They did the minimum standard of their job and that's all they are required to do.
But when we're talking me vs the app, this is just one example.
Picture on the left, one of my shirts and how it was returned to me. Picture on the right? A pair of my customers leggings after I used 8 sheets from my lint roller and hand picked lint off the seams- I spent 20 minutes on this one pair.
So, in short, yes. I do know "there's an app for that"; but the difference between Three Peas Laundry Co. and the app is the same difference between Starbucks and a local coffee shop, Walmart and the local butcher, or McDonalds and the Choo Choo Grill. Looks similar enough, but the service, care, reciprocity and heart going into it is different.
