This year, following Rhinebeck, we’ve decided to offer some of the specials to the public that were not able to make it to the festival. On Saturday, the 24th of October at 4 PM EDT, we will open the sale.

This sale will include Magpies, Sparrows, Starlings, Roly-Polies, and Whirligigs. We will also have 5 themed Starlings that we are calling “Falling Leaves”. These Starlings will be similar to our “Maple” Starlings but slightly different. They will feature a Cranberry body with a Pumpkin or***ce reducer and logo, Yellow guides, and Hunter tension pieces.

For more details about the same include the discounts we will be offering check out our latest blog post.

One of my favorite things about the Magpie is the massive bobbin. Not just because I can fit A LOT on the bobbin but also because it allows you to see how the colors play up as you spin over a longer span. Each layer showing what this spin has in store for the future.

For this gradient set each braid is a mirror image so I’m planning on winding up the singles on the Roly-Poly and plying from the ends to create 2 ply yarns keeping the gradient intact as much as possible.

Tonight’s Zoom Spin In was a bit quiet as several of our regular attendees were at Rhinebeck this weekend. For all our new flock members we host a weekly Zoom Spin In where all spinners are welcome no matter what tools they use. Some of us spin, some knit or crochet, some weave. It’s a wonderful evening enjoying the company of other fibery folks.

We hold it every Saturday at 7 PM Eastern. Normally we go for about 2-3 hours. Zoom ID is 803 600 7502 PW is 197552.

We are having an incredible time at Rhinebeck! It’s been so wonderful to see everyone! We cannot wait to see what our new flock members make with our wheels, winders, and looms. We still have plenty of wheels and looms to go around so if you haven’t stopped by yet there is still plenty to choose from.

Wishing everyone a wonderful time at Rhinebeck and thank you all for making this our best Rhinebeck yet!
