Ok, so I wanted to take a moment to explain why I typically require a full weekend for a detail and also why I do not do mobile detailing. The first question I get is, do you need the car the whole weekend?
Well typically Depending on what is getting done I will request the car as early as possible on a Friday and pick up as late as possible on Sunday. Friday typically involves prep work, unlike a single day mobile detailer I use my previous shop experience to remove certain, common trim pieces in most cars. I have also been known to remove entire door panels in order to perform the best cleaning possible.
Most folks do not realize just how many cracks and crevices are in a vehicle and how easily dirt and lots of other nasty things migrate to them.
The next day is spent with the majority cleaning the interior of the vehicle. With this you have a prep vacuum, carpet brushing then a precise vacuum and typically a carpet and seat shampoo:steam treatment. After drying and before pick up you have a final vacuum. In between there is vent cleaning, trim pieces, headliner, glass, etc…
The late portion of the day switches to the outside of the vehicle where if your getting a full detail the vehicle you get an underbody spray, wheel well, and wheel and tire cleaning. Depending on what else is ordered the vehicle will also get other treatments on the outside.
Sunday morning is all about the exterior (mostly) with multiple washes, depending on the package the paint sees the polisher. After all that if your getting a ceramic coat it is applied, if not final prep is done and the inside is checked for quality and anything I may have missed. Often times a second set of eyes is used to really make sure, my goal with every customer is to hear them say “the car looks better than the day I got it”.
This is kind of just a brief explanation of why I ask what I ask, you can find cheaper and quicker retailers that will come to you for sure. It may be satisfactory after they finish for your standards but often I have heard stories of simple things that were missed. Likely, my guess is from rushing or just a lack of motivation and or concentration.
I appreciate every customers time and promise to deliver the best quality product I am capable of.
