I’m asking my SONshine family for some extra prayers tonight. 🙏🏼💛

A few days ago, our family received some incredibly scary and unexpected news. My mother-in-law, Brenda, was found to have a massive brain tumor.

Tomorrow, her doctors are going to attempt to remove it.

There really aren’t words for how scary it is to hear something like this about someone you love. We’re all anxious, scared, and trying to hold onto as much hope as possible while we wait.

If you’re the praying kind, I would really appreciate you adding Brenda to your prayers tonight and tomorrow.

Please pray for steady hands and wisdom for her surgeons and medical team. Pray that they are able to safely and successfully remove the tumor. Pray for Brenda’s strength, comfort, healing, and recovery. And please say a little prayer for our family as we wait and hope for good news.

This SONshine community has supported me through so much more than just cleaning houses, and right now, prayers are what our family needs most.

No guessing. No wondering what was or wasn’t cleaned. No vague “standard cleaning” that somehow means something different every time. 😅

I follow this checklist at EVERY clean.

Whether you book a Standard Clean, Deep Clean, Move-In/Move-Out Clean, or additional Add-Ons, you’ll know exactly what’s included before I ever get started.

✨ If it’s on the list for the service you booked, it gets done.
That’s the standard I hold myself to every single time.

If something isn’t listed, you’re always welcome to ask! I may be able to add it for an additional fee depending on what it is. However, please don’t automatically assume it’s included. Even as a cleaning company, there are certain services I don’t offer or tasks I won’t perform.

I believe in being transparent and upfront about what you’re paying for. You shouldn’t have to come home after a clean and wonder, “Wait… was this supposed to be done?”

This checklist is my commitment to you. 🌻

And remember, every home is different! If you have a specific concern or something you’d like extra attention given to, tell me before your clean. Communication helps me make sure we’re on the same page and that you’re getting the service you expect.

🌿 WAIT… when was the last time you actually CLEANED your fake plants?! 👀😂

Artificial plants are one of those things we put in our homes, admire because we somehow managed to keep them “alive”… and then completely forget they’re sitting there collecting dust. 🤦🏼‍♀️

And those leaves can hold onto dust, pet hair, grease, and everyday buildup WAY more than you realize!

The good news? You don’t need anything fancy to bring them back to life. 🌿✨

I put together this little step-by-step guide showing you how to give your artificial plants a good deep clean and get them looking fresh again!

🌻 A little note for my SONshine clients:
During your Standard Clean, I’ll give artificial plants a quick skim with the Swiffer to remove surface dust. But if your faux greenery is looking a little less greenery and a little more dust bunny sanctuary 😂, I can also deep clean your artificial plants for an additional fee!

That means actually taking the time to clean the individual leaves, stems, and buildup instead of just giving them a quick dusting.

🌻 SONshine Tip: Giving your artificial plants a quick dust regularly helps prevent heavy buildup and makes deep cleaning MUCH easier when the time comes.

And yes… your houseplants need cleaning even when they’re fake. Apparently pretending to be alive does not exempt them from chores. 😂🌿

FACT: A strong “clean” smell doesn’t necessarily mean a surface is actually clean. 👀

Fragrance can make your house smell amazing, but it doesn’t remove dirt, grease, bacteria, or buildup. And sometimes using too much product actually leaves behind residue that attracts MORE dirt. 🤢

A truly clean home doesn’t need to smell like you assaulted it with an entire bottle of Pine-Sol. 😂

✨ Proper products
✨ Proper dilution
✨ Proper technique
✨ And actually removing the grime instead of covering it up

THAT’S the difference.
