🌻 A Little Heartfelt Appreciation From Me to You ❤️
As November approaches and we enter the season of Thanksgiving, I’ve found myself doing a lot of reflecting lately.
I’m going to be a little vulnerable here because, well, if you’ve gotten to know me, you know I’ve never been very good at pretending everything is sunshine and rainbows. Even if my business IS named SONshine. 😉
The truth is, being a small business owner isn’t always easy.
There are seasons when business is booming, everything seems to fall into place, and you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. And then there are seasons that leave you questioning yourself, your abilities, and whether you’re doing enough.
Lately, I’ve found myself in one of those harder seasons.
Running a small business means wearing ALL the hats. I’m the owner, the cleaner, the scheduler, the bookkeeper, the customer service department, and occasionally the employee who needs to have a serious conversation with management. 😂
But underneath all those hats, I’m also a wife and a mama who is simply trying to help provide a good life for her family while building something she can be proud of.
And sometimes, the weight of all of that gets a little heavy.
I’ve poured so much of myself into SONshine Cleaning Co. It’s not just about cleaning houses or earning a paycheck. It’s about building relationships, earning trust, taking pride in my work, and hopefully making someone’s life just a little easier.
And that brings me to the real reason for this post.
My clients. My people. My SONshine family. ❤️
To those of you who have been with me since I first started SONshine here in Florida, THANK YOU.
To those who have recently welcomed me into your homes and trusted me with your spaces, THANK YOU.
To those who have stuck by me through life’s ups and downs, shown me grace when I’ve needed it, and offered kindness and understanding when life has gotten a little messy, THANK YOU.
To the clients who ask how I’m doing, how my kids are doing, what’s new in our lives, and genuinely care about the answers, please know those little conversations mean more to me than you probably realize.
To those who understand that I’m human, that I’m a mama first, and that sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan, thank you for giving me the same flexibility, patience, and understanding that I always try to extend to you.
And to the few of you who started out as clients but somewhere along the way became genuine friends…
I know they say you’re supposed to keep business and personal relationships separate, but apparently I missed that chapter in the small business handbook. 😂❤️
I wouldn’t trade those friendships for anything.
You have supported me, encouraged me, checked on me, and continued to believe in me, even during times when I’ve struggled to believe in myself.
And I want you to know that I SEE you.
I see your loyalty.
I see your kindness.
I see the referrals, the recommendations, the encouraging words, and the little gestures that remind me why I started this business in the first place.
I don’t take a single bit of it for granted.
This year has brought its share of challenges, both personally and professionally. And while it’s easy to get caught up in what hasn’t gone right, what I’ve lost, or what I wish I could change, I’m choosing to shift my focus.
Because as we head into November, I want to spend less time worrying about what I’ve lost and more time appreciating what I still have.
And one of those things is an incredible group of people who continue to support this little business of mine.
When you choose SONshine Cleaning Co., you’re doing more than paying someone to clean your home.
You’re helping a family put food on the table, pay the bills, create memories, and build a future. You’re supporting a mama who is working hard to balance family, life, and a dream.
And you’re reminding me that even on the days when I feel a little defeated, there is still so much to be thankful for.
So, from the very bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
Thank you for trusting me in your homes.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives.
Thank you for supporting my family.
And most importantly, thank you for continuing to believe in me and SONshine Cleaning Co.
