We wrapped up a full brake service on a 2006 Honda Element, The vehicle came in with a seized front caliper, so we replaced the caliper and installed new brake pads and rotors on both the front and rear to get everything stopping safely again.

If your vehicle is making squeaking, grinding noises, or shaking when braking, it might be time to have your brakes inspected!

Happy Tuesday ☀️

We wanted to share an update with everyone who has been following our GoFundMe for Scott. After coming across a Facebook post about a gentleman who had been broken down for over a week at M&M Powder Coating in downtown Vancouver, our community stepped up in an incredible way.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise enough funds to replace Scott’s timing belt and water pump, as well as perform an oil change and coolant flush. We’re happy to report that Scott is now back on the road — warm, safe, and with a smile on his face and gratitude in his heart ❤️

Scott has already traveled through 28 states in his 3.2L Acura, and he’s now continuing on to his next adventure.

In total, $440 was raised, along with countless acts of kindness from individuals who brought blankets, warm clothing, and hot meals while funds were being collected for parts. This outcome truly reflects the power of community.

We couldn’t have made this happen without the overwhelming support and compassion shown by everyone involved. Thank you to all who helped support Scott and be a part of his journey. We are beyond grateful for such a caring and generous community 😊

Hello everyone, we are a husband & wife locally owned and operated mobile mechanics with K&M Automotive. We are raising funds for Scott, a kind gentleman who is down on his luck. He lives out of his car and has been to over 28 states with countless stories to tell in search of experience to write his book. He is down on his luck as his engine has a torn timing belt, leaving him stopped in his tracks as he travels through the Vancouver area. As a community, we are coming together to help raise funds to get him into a warm hotel, with food and warm clothing, as well as funds needed for parts to fix his vehicle and get him back on the road. We have a wonderful and amazing community; the number of wonderful people who have reached out already has our hearts warmed knowing we can help a soul in need ❤️ Our labor is free of charge, we only hope to get Scott back on the road safely and quickly!

Recently we had the pleasure of working on a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT, where we completed a full clutch replacement, installed a new clutch slave cylinder, and upgraded the old rusty hardlines from the clutch master to the slave with a modern braided 3AN line for improved reliability and performance. 🔩✨

Hey Washougal friends and neighbors! 👋
We’re Maddy & Keaton, the husband-and-wife team behind K&M Automotive, your local mobile mechanics.

This year has been tough on many families in our community, and we want to do our part to give back. From the start of November to December 16th we’ll be hosting a community food drive along with American Legion Cape Horn Post 122 to help local families in need.

🛠 How You Can Help:
• Donate non-perishable food items like canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and cereal, flour and other pantry foods!
• We’ll be collecting donations during service calls, or you can contact us to schedule a pickup/drop-off.
• Every single can, box, and bag of food helps a neighbor in need!

🔥 1966 Ford Galaxie Revival! 🔥

We had the pleasure of working on this beautiful ’66 Ford Galaxie packing a souped-up 428 Cobra Jet — and let us tell you, this classic roars!

We gave it some serious love under the hood and in the details:
🔧 Cleaned & tuned the carburetor
⚙️ Adjusted the electric choke & engine timing
🧰 Replaced intake & exhaust manifold gaskets
🛠️ Set the rocker arms to proper zero lash (cold & hot adjustments)
🪛 Replaced valve cover gaskets, repaired wiring, and fixed a battery draw issue
💧 Performed a full coolant flush, oil change, and cleaned out the fuel tank from old fuel

And that’s not all — we went all in on a full interior and exterior detail, spending days polishing every chrome and aluminum trim piece, removing oxidation, and getting this Galaxie shining like new again.

We’re so proud of how this one turned out! 🚗✨

Happy Monday ⚙️

My husband and I just wrapped up a big job on a 2007 Ford F-150 with the 5.4L Triton 3V engine — and it turned out awesome! 🙌

We tackled the full timing chain and components, installed a high-pressure oil pump, replaced the lower end rod bearings, and did a full coolant flush replacing water pump & thermostat as well as an oil change. This truck went from sounding rough to running smooth and efficient!

Timing component issues are common on these engines and can lead to serious damage if not addressed in time. If your vehicle is ticking, rattling, or running rough, it might be time to have those parts replaced—and we’re here to help!
