We had a very important customer stop by the NE DC location this week. 🐶

This little lady walked right up to the machines like she owns the place, gave the washer a full nose-to-glass inspection, and seemed VERY concerned about what was happening in cycle 2. 😂

10/10 customer service review. 0/10 patience for the spin cycle.

Obami & Tomeka here, and we've got some big things cooking this month.

First and foremost: we're hosting our first-ever Back-to-School Laundry Day on August 16th at our NE DC location. Free uniform washes, school supply giveaways, candy for the kids, and a whole lot of community love. 🎒💛

You're not alone — and bleach isn't the answer. It's actually making it worse long-term. Here's the SonWray guide to truly bright whites without the harsh chemicals:

🧴 Pre-soak: Mix ½ cup baking soda into a basin of warm water, soak whites for 30 minutes before washing
🍋 Boost: Add ¼ cup lemon juice to the wash cycle — natural brightening without damage
🌿 Rinse: A splash of white vinegar in the rinse cycle removes detergent residue that causes dullness
☀️ Dry: When possible, line-dry in direct sunlight — the best natural bleach there is

DC summers are FULL of the best things — Rock Creek Park picnics, Kenilworth Gardens, weekend cookouts, evening soccer games. They're also full of grass stains, mud, ketchup, and sunscreen on everything your kids own. 😅

Here's your SonWray Summer Stain Survival Guide for the most common DC summer culprits:

🟢 Grass/Mud: Let dry, brush off, enzyme detergent, cold wash
🔴 Ketchup/BBQ: Cold water immediately, dish soap, rinse from inside out — never hot water first
🟡 Sunscreen: Dawn dish soap on the stain, let sit 20 min, cold wash
☀️ Sweat stains: Baking soda + white vinegar paste, 30 min, cold wash
