🚿 Quick Tip Wednesday: Slow-draining bathroom sink? Here’s the fix.

If your sink is draining slower than it used to, the culprit is almost always hair and gunk buildup on the drain stopper — and it’s an easy DIY fix!

Here’s how:
1️⃣Look under your sink and find the horizontal rod (called the pivot rod) connected to the drain assembly
2️⃣ Loosen the nut holding it in place and pull the rod out
3️⃣ This releases the stopper — pull it straight up out of the drain
4️⃣ You’ll probably be shocked at what’s wrapped around it (hair, soap scum, gunk — it happens to everyone!)
5️⃣ Clean it off, rinse, and pop it back in

Takes about 5 minutes and can make a huge difference in how fast your sink drains. 🙌

Not in the mood to get up close and personal with drain gunk? That’s exactly the kind of detail we handle when we clean your home — the stuff you don’t think about until it becomes a problem.

✨ Before & After: Stove Top Edition ✨

Your stove top sees it all — boil-overs, splatters, burnt-on drips from last night’s dinner. It’s one of the highest-use spots in your kitchen, which means it needs consistent attention to stay looking (and feeling) clean.

Good news: it’s always part of your regular maintenance cleaning with us. No need to ask, no upcharge — just s**c and span, every single visit.

Swipe to see the difference! 👉

Ready for a kitchen that stays this clean without you lifting a finger?

Furry family members? We've got them covered too. 🐾

A lot of common cleaning products can be harsh on the pets who live closest to those freshly-mopped floors and wiped-down surfaces. So here's how we keep it safe for the whole family:

🐶 We're careful with the products we use around pet areas

🧼 Floors and low surfaces get extra thought — that's nose-and-paw level

🚪 We'll work with you on where pets are most comfortable during the clean

💬 Just tell us about your animals ahead of time and any sensitivities they have

Your home should feel fresh AND safe for everyone in it — two legs or four. 💚

We're Superior House Cleaning, a family-run, licensed and insured team right here in Clark County. Got a question about how we'd handle your home and your pets?

Before & after never gets old! 😍🧼

This bathroom went from “we’ve been putting it off” to spotless in one visit. There’s nothing like that fresh-clean feeling — every tile, every corner, every surface taken care of.

If your bathroom (or whole house) could use this kind of refresh, we’d love to help. We’re a local, W-2 employee team serving Vancouver, Ridgefield, Camas, Washougal, La Center, and Battle Ground — no contractors, just trained, trusted pros in your home.

🍋 Microwave smelling funky? Fill a microwave-safe bowl with water and a few slices of lemon, run it for 3 minutes, then let it sit for 2 more. The steam loosens everything and the lemon neutralizes odors. Wipe clean with a cloth — no scrubbing needed.

When we get there we will make sure it’s spotless.

✨ Meet the Newest Member of the Superior House Cleaning Family! ✨

We're so excited to introduce the newest member of our team!

When she's not making homes sparkle, you'll usually find her spending quality time with her son at local parks or out on new adventures. She also has a creative side—she loves painting, photography, and editing photos. 🎨📸

One fun fact? She loves just about every genre of music, so there's always a great soundtrack while she works! 🎶

Now for the cleaning facts... 🧽✨

🏡 She can't go to sleep if her house is dirty.
🧼 Cleaning her own home in the evening is actually how she relaxes after a long day.
🍽️ At home, her kitchen has to be spotless before bedtime.
🛁 At work, she especially enjoys cleaning bathrooms and kids' rooms. She loves making the beds and organizing the toys so little ones come home to a clean, cozy space.

We're proud to have someone who truly enjoys creating clean, welcoming homes for our clients. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome to the Superior House Cleaning family! 💙
