Please don’t kill every snake. Contrary to popular belief there are good alive snakes that are controlling venomous snake populations and rodent populations even while we sleep.

If pool pumps aren’t run 24/7 until this cold snap is gone, expect expensive freeze damage to occur.
Timer clips must be removed from mechanical timer clocks.

Please run pool pumps on a 24/7 run cycle until this hard freeze has passed. If there is a timer or timers present, please remove timer clips to make sure that the pool pump doesn’t cycle off.

“When I found ASP, my life became so much easier. I have no idea how many times I have called for help over the years, but one time stands out.
I was walking through The Magic Kingdom with my family and I got a call from a neighbor. He told me my pool pump was making noises he had never heard before. I asked him to turn it off and he did. I immediately called Brad at ASP and told him of my situation as I was on the first day of a 7 day vacation. Brad said he would check it out. He called me to inform me I needed a new pump. He asked me what I wanted and I had no idea. I told Brad to pick me one he thought was necessary for my 20x40 pool.
I got home the next week and my pool was still sparkling clean and I had a new pump that was working beautifully. Some companies would take this opportunity to get all they could and take advantage of the customer. Brad is not that guy. I was very happy with the price I paid.
If you want to pay too much for not enough, use other companies. If you want someone to build a relationship with and that learns what you want out of your pool, you need to call Brad and ASP.”

Be cautious and alert around pool equipment this time of year. The warm afternoons bring out the snakes who then seek heat sources in the cool mornings. Pool pump motor heat is just what snakes for on days like today. It’s recommended to clear out brush near the equipment pad for visibility and deterrence.
