This vent line finally passed inspection.

It had been rerouted years ago with too many tight bends and no proper sealing, which meant lint had nowhere to go but back up the line.

We rebuilt the run with the shortest path we could manage, sealed every joint, and set a termination that actually meets code.

Why does your dryer vent run twenty feet through the attic instead of straight out the wall?

Some homes are built with the dryer far from an exterior wall, so the vent gets routed through the attic or ceiling to reach outside. That extra distance means more bends, more lint traps, and more places airflow can slow down.

Rerouting becomes necessary when a vent run is too long, has too many turns, or was installed incorrectly in the first place. The goal is always the shortest, straightest path outside.

A proper reroute means new ductwork, sealed joints, and a termination point that actually meets code.
