We have switched the pre-wash over to the Bug-Goo bug tar remover. This goes on at low pressure and the manufacturer recommends about 30 seconds of stand time before you scrub or use the high pressure. One idea is to apply the Bug Goo and then wash out your wheel wells, and by then it hopefully will soften up the bugs.
