January is Rotary Vocational Service Month.
Fred Rogers believed that everyone has something special to offer—and that we all have a role in making our communities better. This month is a reminder that our daily work can be a form of service, too.
Whether you’re a teacher, a nurse, a welder, or an artist, your skills can lift others. Mentoring someone just starting out, offering your talents to a nonprofit, or simply showing integrity in your day-to-day work—that’s vocational service.
You don’t have to leave your job to make a difference. Just bring kindness and purpose into what you already do.
Let your work speak for your values.
