A lot of folks along the coast think a deck needs to be replaced when it turns gray or starts showing heavy weathering. Most of the time, it just needs to be cleaned the right way.
Coastal wood takes a beating from salt air, sun, and humidity, especially on decks, piers, pool decks, and gazebos. My approach is simple and effective: low‑pressure washing, wood‑safe cleaners, and a grain‑aware cleaning pattern that removes algae and salt buildup without damaging the surface. Natural wood responds best when you treat it with care instead of force.
I just wrapped up a coastal deck job this week, and the transformation was huge. Sharing photos of a recent deck washing job at Emerald Isle, NC. You can see what a proper coastal‑safe wood cleaning can do.

Experience has taught me…
After years working here in coastal Carolina, I’ve learned a few things that make all the difference in this line of work:
- Show up when you say you will. It sounds simple, but it’s rare enough around here that it matters more than anything else.
- Communicate at every step. A quick text or update goes a long way, especially for homeowners who aren’t always on-site.
- Don’t promise timeframes you can’t hit with ease. Leave room for weather, traffic, and real life. Under‑promise, over‑deliver.
- Follow up within 10 days of the job. A simple check‑in builds trust and long-term relationships.
These four things have kept my business steady, my customers happy, and my days a whole lot smoother.
Oh, and I almost forgot — your customers are real people with real lives. Get to know them a little, and don’t forget to share a good laugh along the way.

🌿 Early Season Scheduling (February–Mid April)
Hey everyone — quick check‑in as we move toward the warmer months.
I’m opening my schedule for residential exterior cleaning between January and mid‑April. If you’d like to get your house wash done before the season kicks in, this is the window I’m setting aside for it.
A lot of folks also like to take care of the other outdoor areas early, while the weather is still cool:
- Driveways
- Patios
- Decks and porches
- Pool decks
If you want to get on the schedule, just send me a message. No rush, no pressure — I’m just giving everyone a heads‑up so you can plan ahead if you want things freshened up before spring.

THIS PICTURE IS ONLY A SLIGHT EXAGGERATION OF SPRING HERE IN COASTAL NC!
Pollen season is about to crank up here on the SE NC coast.
We usually see the first wave in late February with juniper, maple, and elm… then the big yellow pine pollen hits hard from late March through April. By May, oak and hickory are still going, and summer brings grass pollen and ragweed all the way into fall. Add our coastal humidity, and everything sticks to everything.
This is why we mix a little RD‑61 Citra Plus or Limonene into our cleaning solutions.
Pollen has a waxy coating that clings to siding and concrete. The citrus cuts that bond so the surface actually releases — and stays easier to rinse for months. Most folks can keep things clean with just a garden hose after that.
If you’re getting ahead of the season this year, a little prep now saves a lot of scrubbing later.
Don't wait until that green mold or black mildew fades or stains your siding. Call or text us now to schedule your Low-pressure House Wash. (910) 787-7166

As the weather starts to warm, it’s a great time to give your home’s exterior a quick once‑over. Winter storms can leave behind streaks, buildup, and small issues that are easy to miss.
Look for:
- discoloration
- algae or mildew
- gutter debris
- slippery spots
- leftover storm residue
If you spot anything and want a quick, no‑pressure assessment, I’m here to help.

We have a small confession: we’re a little bit obsessed with the number 100.

As we’ve been out power washing driveways and clearing away the winter grey, we realized we are just 5 reviews away from hitting a huge milestone on Google.

We don’t just want to hit a number; we want to make sure every single one of those 100 represents a neighbor who feels like their home got a fresh start.

If we’ve worked with you recently and you haven't had a chance to share your experience, would you help us cross the finish line? Being one of our "Final 5" would mean the world to us!

Post a review to our profile on Google

Is it just us, or does everything look a little... grey? 🌧️

Hey neighbors! Now that the snow has finally made its exit, it’s left behind that lovely gift of salt, grime, and slush residue. It’s that time of year where the house feels a bit tired, and we’re all ready for some sun.

We’ve been out in the neighborhood giving driveways and siding a fresh start. There’s nothing quite like that "just washed" feeling to make the whole block look better. We’re not just moving dirt; we’re bringing the neighborhood’s sparkle back!

If you’re looking at your driveway and thinking it needs a refresh, we’d love to swing by. Drop a comment below or send us a message—let’s get your home ready for spring together. ☕️🌷

❄️ Winter Storm Check‑In for Jacksonville & Onslow County
With this winter storm rolling through, a lot of folks around Jacksonville and Onslow County are going to wake up to cold temps, ice, and a whole lot of moisture sitting on their homes. Even if everything looks fine right now, winter weather has a way of sneaking into the small places we don’t always think about.
A few things I always tell people to keep an eye on after a storm like this:
🌬 Wind & Debris
Strong gusts push leaves, pine needles, and dirt into siding seams, window sills, and roof edges. When that debris stays packed in, it holds moisture longer than it should.
❄️ Ice Expansion
When water freezes, it expands. That expansion can widen tiny cracks in concrete, stress siding joints, and loosen caulking around windows and doors. You don’t always see the effects until things thaw out.
💧 Surfaces Staying Wet Too Long
Cold, damp weather slows evaporation. That’s when you start seeing:
- mildew on shaded sides of the house
- algae patches
- dark streaks
- wood swelling on decks and fences
🧊 Gutters & Downspouts
Ice can block drainage or weigh gutters down. When meltwater can’t flow, it spills over and runs down siding or pools around the foundation.

🔍 After the Storm: A Simple Walk‑Around Helps
Once things thaw a bit, it’s worth taking five minutes to walk around your home and check for:
- debris buildup in corners or seams
- new stains or dark patches
- water pooling where it shouldn’t
- clogged downspouts
- concrete cracks that look bigger than before
You don’t need to fix everything right away — just noticing early can save headaches later.

🏡 Jacksonville & Onslow County Folks
How’s your place holding up tonight?
