The Green Life & The Healthy Today (Jorjie & Richard) Owner/ Operators : Jorjie and Richard Hughes-Findley In June of 2011 Our daughter was born, this changed our perspective on what healthy was.

I knew before Mack was born that we would be doing everything we can to help her have a healthy life! After taking care of myself the first thing we could do for her was avoid chemicals, the two easiest ways to do that was cloth diapers and clear out the cleaning supplies. So we started with cloth diapers (yuck, I know ;) ). Seriously it is not yuck at all, it is easy and very different than your

Grandmas cloth diapers. I researched and hunted and over the course of 3 years we learned so much. We tried so many different brands of diapers and all of the styles. I want to share that knowledge with you! Next I looked at what we ate, lots of fruits and veggies. Then I realized I cared about what was on the produce! So I set out to find something to clean my produce with out adding other scary 'stuff' to it. The first dozen or so options I looked at did not... lets just say meet my standards. Then at the end of a kids expo I found a booth saying all natural. I hunted down the owner and found "THE" product I had been looking for. Coconut and corn based, 100% natural, organic, food grade, cleaner! The product, Basic H. The company Shaklee.

New Year and it is time to focus on my heath again. With all the holiday travel we neglected our health and ate things we knew would make us feel not our best. So starting on Monday we will be back home, and eating right! For us that means, no gluten, limited dairy, and a Shaklee 180 shake a day. We have a 3 year old who loves the shakes too so we tend to have them as breakfast to start the day out with some good protein. Lots of fruits and even more veggies are also on the menu.

Some of my followers/fans don't know me very well so I want to say I will often give pro/cons to answer questions. This is because I feel it is important to be your own advocate. I could lay out the perfect meal/workout schedule for 6 months but then what happens? I feel strongly it is important to have the info (facts and opinions and know which is which) then for the individual to decided what is best for their personal needs.

It's your health, you are in charge :)
