I had to rebuild my entire life on my own, while others just watched me struggle. So no, I don't care what you think of me.
You fell apart and rebuilt yourself piece by piece with no help. People watched you struggle, offered useless platitudes, maybe even judged how you were handling it, but nobody actually showed up. Nobody carried the weight with you. Nobody helped you pick up the pieces. You did that alone, in the dark, exhausted and terrified, while everyone else spectated from a safe distance.
So their opinions now? Worthless. You don't care what they think of your choices, your boundaries, your life, because they weren't there when it mattered. They didn't earn the right to have opinions about you by watching you suffer and doing nothing. You rebuilt your entire life with your own hands while they observed. Their judgment means nothing compared to what you survived.
You know what it took to get here. You know what you're capable of. And their comfort with who you've become is irrelevant. You didn't rebuild yourself for their approval. You rebuilt yourself to survive. And you don't owe explanations to spectators.
