This is descriptive of what I’ve seen in every aspect of construction🦺. They ALL boast about what a great job they’ve done and to the customers, it looks that way. When it’s FAR from even close! As long as, you have a smile and present a ‘Positive attitude’, customers will buy the very poison, that is killing them. Then turn around, go to a doctor for another symptom fix, that yes makes you feel better, but has 10 other side effects, that are killing you.

Yes! They’re out there in droves. Gravity will certainly hold it down until other directionalities act. Usually when you are moving. Ahhh, didn’t you happen to remember something from elementary school? “An object in motion, remains in motion. Until some force acts upon it”. Like hitting the brakes or turning the steering wheel……..

Driver said it didn’t need tied down if it’s heavy enough. Completely unrelated but, we’re looking for a CDL driver.

To be clear, not our truck, driver, or equipment - just the highway that runs in front of our shop. 🤣

Back in October, I had to commit and choose not to pay the $4,700 insurance snow damage liability rider. Business and some residential customers demand insurance. Especially, since most all landscapers, builders, heavy contractors and fly by night (fools with a tractor or blade on a truck or ATV) are out competing without it and damaging property. There is a science to properly having dry areas before risking property damage and I’m still trying find anyone who takes it seriously.
Over the past week since the storm ceased. I’ve been cursed for not being interested in banging ice with my equipment and I have class 2 up to class 8 dump trucks with blades and heavy equipment up to 15 ton loaders and excavators. I’ve been involved with clearing snow and ice since 1970 and study every potential storm for days before the first flake falls. I know when to apply which treatments and know when to remove the material before it bonds together or to your asphalt or stone. However, when the customer waits until HE thinks it is best to remove it. Usually, it has been driven on, vehicles scattered in the way and bonded to the surfaces. As well as, I’m busy clearing those customers on my list, who have trusted MY judgment to clear it to their advantage. It’s not about me. I take care of those who trust me. If you don’t trust me. Let some idiot who, tells you he has insurance, but can’t actually produce a paper COI covering you.
If you don’t hire a truly licensed and insured professional. Expect to get exactly what you paid for, cheap and broke!
BTW the decision to hire someone, who actually knows what they are doing, is done in the fall, before the contractor decidies, that he doesn’t have enough commitments to pay for the insurance that you so demand. Otherwise, pack ice baby!

FYI Even though, that you may see us out pushing snow this weekend. We WILL NOT be pushing for commercial or private customers. Our greedy insurance company wanted $4,200.00 from me back in November, for a snow liability rider.
Since, all of my customers have required insurance coverage and don’t trust my judgement to push their driveways when it needs it and can be lined up, but rather when THEY want it done. Which is usually, long after they’ve driven on it and packed it to ice. I’m just not going to fight it anymore!
Like most everyone today, no one trusts the judgement of true professionals and prefer the cheap, fast buck folks, that spend their money on television and internet advertising. Which, the level of quality shown in those ads, literally cracks me up, that any fool would buy from them!
I thank those, that have trusted me in the past, but the high road of practical quality, has been costly and it’s now my time to sit back, watch the train wreck and let the socialists wait on the government to put you all back together again.
There has been no other company in the area that has fought as hard as I have, to keep soil out of the creeks, driveways from washing away, protect water wells from toilets being flushed into it.

Customer: “Why am I paying for that? It only took a couple minutes.”

Also customer: pays $1,200 for a phone that does the same thing as the last one.

You’re not paying for the minutes. You’re paying for the years it took me to make it take minutes.

The other option is you tear up your yard for hours and still not find the tank. Or you pay a pro to do it clean, fast, and right.

Skill isn’t free. Experience isn’t free. And septic tanks don’t magically dig themselves up.
