POOL PARTY FAQs!
Celebrate a Special Event with us! We frequently host birthday parties and other celebrations at our pool. What's the best way to do it? See below for some tips on how to make the most of booking our pool for your celebration:
1. HOW LONG? For parties with food & décor, we recommend booking for 4 hours. That'll give you 30mins to setup before the party, 30mins to clean up, linger and say goodbyes afterwards leaving 3 full hours for the party. Two hours of swim, 30-40mins for eating and cake, then final 15mins for last swims, group photos, guests rinsing off or changing clothes, and packing up. If you prefer to keep it simple a 3.5 hour booking with a quick setup and cleanup works great!
2. WHAT WE PROVIDE TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU
We will provide 2qty 6' folding tables for food, 2 large trash cans with plenty of bags, plenty of chairs for seating, ice chest and a dedicated space for guests to drop bags/gifts/shoes. We also have two spots where you can hang décor (one near the food table and one near the pool) to make for an easy setup.
3. WHAT TO PLAN TO BRING There's a lot going on in the yard already with landscaping so we recommend keeping it simple and streamlined. Confetti and glass containers are absolutely not allowed. Do bring ice for your drinks. Pool toys that can be used during the party make great party favors and are fun to match with the party theme like floaties, or beach balls, water guns, bubble wands, goggles, etc). Flippers, mermaid tails or anything else unique (aside from floatation devices) that kids can wear in the pool are discouraged because they need time to learn how to use them and are at a higher risk of injury while learning how to use them in a group/party setting.
4. DO WE NEED A LIFEGUARD FOR A PARTY? Keeping everyone safe during a pool party is the ultimate priority. Safekids.org has a wonderful resource we highly recommend using during pool parties. Its the super simple concept of having designated water watchers - adults to take turns giving their full undivided attention to watching the pool and the activity in it for 15 mins at a time. This person cannot be you - the host of the party - you'll be busy with everything else and won't be able to watch the water. Check out the link for more specifics.
