A few of this weeks projects…perc testing for a replacement system in Orange, a title 5 inspection on a vacant property in Petersham, D-box replacement at a multi-family home in Hubbardston, and a new leech field going in at a 5 bedroom house in Petersham.

An underground oil tank removal we completed in Petersham last week. We retained an LSP (Licensed Site Professional) to test the soil around the tank for possible contamination and provide a Tank Closure Report to comply with state and local codes. We emptied the tank and disposed of it at a licensed disposal facility.

Site work for a new 4,000 sq.ft. Life Flight hanger with living quarters.
So far, we’ve demolished the existing concrete foundation, excavated for the new foundation and installed Geo-grid and crushed stone to meet density requirements below the footings. We installed rigid foam insulation on the foundation walls, and will be backfilling the foundation next week.
Phase two will be utility connections to the building and prepping for the concrete slab later this season.

A job we did a few weeks ago digging test pits for a new life flight hanger at the Fitchburg Airport.

It was a busy week. We wrapped up backfilling a garage addition in Rutland, finished loam and drainage for an addition in Petersham, and got started on another septic system in Ashby. Somewhere we fit in a perc test on Queen lake and another title 5 inspection in Phillipston as well.

Two new 1000 gallon tight tanks installed at a camp in Phillipston this week. These are heavy duty tanks rated for vehicle traffic so the homeowners don’t lose any parking spaces.
