😂🧹 THINGS PROFESSIONAL CLEANERS HEAR THAT MAKE US QUESTION OUR LIFE CHOICES… 🧹😂
Listen, I LOVE what I do. 💗💚
But there are a few things professional cleaners hear over and over again that make us want to put the mop down, stare at the wall, and count to ten. 😭😂
“Everything looks amazing… but you didn’t clean THIS.”
First question:
👀 Was “THIS” on your cleaning checklist? 😂
Every cleaning service has a scope of work. Your quote tells you exactly what is included in the price.
Want the inside of the oven done? Tell me.
Inside the refrigerator? Tell me.
Interior cabinets? Baseboards? Blinds? Something special that has been bothering you since 2019? 😂
TELL. YOUR. CLEANER.
We can usually add additional services and price them accordingly.
What we cannot do is magically know about the mystery task you had pictured in your head. 🔮😭😂
“Well, somebody else said they’d do it cheaper.”
They might!
And there are absolutely NO hard feelings. ❤️
Every household has a budget, and you should hire the company that makes sense for yours.
But here's the important part:
Don't compare two prices until you've compared what's actually included.
One cleaner may quote $150.
Another may quote $100.
But if one is providing a detailed professional service while the other is doing a quick surface clean, those aren't really the same service.
Check the checklist.
Check the details.
Check what's included.
Because CHEAPER isn't always a better deal.
Sometimes… it's just cheaper. 😂
“Someone else can clean my whole house in two hours.”
Listen…
If they can thoroughly clean an entire home in two hours and produce the exact same results, I need them to teach a MASTERCLASS. 😭👏😂
Because professional cleaning isn't a race.
We're changing cleaning cloths.
We're trying to prevent cross-contamination.
We're using appropriate products for different surfaces.
We're giving certain products time to actually WORK.
We're getting behind things, underneath things and around those weird little corners that apparently collect dust for a living. 😂
And yes…

“Why is a deep cleaning so much more expensive?”
Because a DEEP CLEAN and a maintenance clean are two VERY different animals.
Maintenance cleaning helps KEEP a home clean.
Deep cleaning is often where we're dealing with accumulated buildup and areas that haven't received detailed attention in quite some time.
That means more labor.
More products.
More scrubbing.
More detail.
More time.
And occasionally me having a personal disagreement with a spot that refuses to come off. 😭😂
When you see the finished result, you're not just paying for the shiny countertop.
You're paying for everything it took to GET it that way.
“My house isn't that big. It shouldn't take long.”
Ohhhh, if only square footage told the whole story. 😂
Two homes can be exactly the same size and require completely different amounts of time.
A 1,200-square-foot home that's regularly maintained is NOT the same job as a 1,200-square-foot home needing significant buildup removed.
We have to consider:

So when a professional cleaner gives you an estimate, we're not just looking at how many square feet are under your roof.
We're looking at the JOB.
“Your prices are too expensive.”
It's completely okay to say:
“That's outside my budget.” ❤️
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Professional cleaning isn't going to fit every household's budget at every stage of life.
But professional cleaning also isn't simply paying somebody to run a vacuum and mop your floors.
A legitimate cleaning business has expenses.
Products. Equipment. Transportation. Insurance. Supplies. Taxes. Labor. Training. Replacement equipment.
And behind all of that is the physical work required to actually deliver the result.
But you're also paying for something else:
TIME. ❤️
Time you can spend with your children.
Time you can spend running your business.
Time you can spend resting.
Time you can spend doing literally ANYTHING besides scrubbing your toilet on Saturday morning. 😂🙌
And sometimes, walking into a clean home after a long day gives you something you can't put a price tag on:
A little bit of peace. 🏡❤️
So yes…
There will ALWAYS be somebody cheaper.
There will probably ALWAYS be somebody faster.
And that's perfectly okay.
