Happy Friday!!! 💚🍀

SO MANY wonderful things are happening with Murry’s right now, and I’m so excited for what’s coming. 🥹

We’ve partnered with Ray Ayala and Under Pressure Midwest for an AMAZING event that we’ll be announcing at the beginning of October! I seriously cannot wait to share this one. 👀

Our monthly giveback cleans are also here to stay. Once a month, we provide a FREE clean to someone who could genuinely use a little help. If you or someone you know has a story you’d like to share with us, please send it our way. 🫶🏽🤞🏽

We are officially at the point where we are not accepting any new recurring clients right now. 🥹 Hopefully within the next month or so we’ll be able to open the books back up!

We DO still have some availability for move in/move out cleans and one time cleans, so you can absolutely still reach out for those!

For now lol. Health comes first, so we’re taking it as it comes, but I am SO freaking happy to have her back with me. IYKYK 👯‍♀️ The OG Murry girls are back at it 😂🫶🏽👯‍♀️

MURRY’S IS HIRING 🍀

I’m looking to add another part-time cleaner to the Murry’s team!

We have work available throughout the week, Monday through Friday, and we typically do not work past 5 PM. For the right person, there is absolutely potential for this position to grow into a lead role.

Requirements:
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a federal background check
• Resume AND references
• Dependable and comfortable working independently or with a team
• Able to keep up with a physically demanding job
• Detail-oriented
• And most importantly, a give-a-s**t attitude

Experience is great, but work ethic matters more to me. I can teach someone how we clean. I cannot teach someone to care, show up, or take pride in their work.

And I do need to say this because of my last hiring round: I had several people reach out interested in the position. Interviews were scheduled. One person showed up.

Please only apply if you are genuinely interested and prepared to follow through. If you previously applied with Murry’s, committed to an interview and then did not show up, no thank you. I genuinely wish you the best, but reliability is non-negotiable for this position.

I think it’s time for a little Murry’s update because this little business has changed A LOT.

When I started Murry’s, I knew I wanted to do things differently. I wanted to actually clean, take care of people, pay people fairly, and build something I was proud to put my name on. That part has never changed, but Murry’s definitely isn’t just me anymore.

I currently have three women working alongside me, and I am VERY intentional about who I hire. So, you may not see me personally at every clean anymore, but please know that I don’t just send anybody into your home. The women beside me clean like I do, notice the things I notice, and most importantly, they give a s**t. If their work has my name attached to it, I take that seriously.

I’ve also gotten much clearer about what Murry’s does best. We specialize in detailed, top-to-bottom deep cleans, especially move-in and move-out cleans. We also offer recurring residential cleaning and service select commercial spaces.

We are not an à la carte cleaning company. When you hire us to clean your home, we want to clean your home. Some rooms may need more love than others, obviously, but the whole-home approach is a huge part of how I’ve built Murry’s and the standard I want to maintain.

I’m also no longer accepting new Airbnb or short-term rental clients at this time. BUT I have a fantastic referral partner who does, and I will happily send you her information!

Now for the fun part... I’m hiring again.

One of my girls may be spending some time out of state with family, so I’m looking for another part-time cleaner. We have cleans available throughout the week, Monday through Friday, and we typically don’t work past 5. There is also absolutely potential for the right person to grow into a lead position.

I’m honestly looking for someone a little like me. 😂 You don’t need 10 years of professional cleaning experience. I need someone who moves, notices things, is good with people, is dependable, takes pride in their work, and wants to better their life. I can teach you how I want something cleaned. I cannot teach you to give a s**t.

That last part is probably the most important to me. I’m trying to build a company where women can make good money and still have a life. Kids get sick. Appointments happen. People have goals outside of work. I want the people who help me grow this business to have the flexibility and opportunity to grow themselves, too.

And there is a reason I’m thinking a little bigger these days. 😉 There are some things happening behind the scenes that I’m not ready to share quite yet... Baby has plans. 😂

This one was a PROJECT. Old spills, sticky shelves, mystery liquids, built up grime… the whole nine yards. But that before and after?! 🤌🏼✨

We don’t just wipe around the mess. We take it apart, get into the corners, clean underneath, and bring it back to life.

Grease doesn’t just stay on the stove. It travels. It settles on walls, cabinets, vents, filters, light fixtures, blinds… and then dust, hair and everything else sticks right to it.

Those range hood filters though?! 😮‍💨✨ I LIVE for a before and after like this.

No spray and wipe over here. We’re getting the buildup OFF. 🧹🧼

Murry’s Maid Service has to do a little housekeeping 🧹🧼

I truly don’t want to start requiring deposits or cards on file for recurring clients, but unfortunately, I’m getting to the point where I may have to.

When you book a biweekly cleaning, I schedule my team around that commitment. I guarantee my employees work, I pay labor every single week, and I turn away other clients to hold those recurring spots. When cleanings are repeatedly canceled, especially last minute, it doesn’t just affect me. It affects the people who depend on me for consistent hours and income.

The same goes for payment. When your cleaning is complete, payment is due upon receipt. I completely understand that life gets busy and things happen, but I’m a small business and I simply can’t operate on payments coming through days or weeks later when it’s convenient. My labor and expenses have already been paid.

I LOVE what we’re building with Murry’s, and I’m incredibly grateful for the clients who respect our time, our work, and the little business I’m working my ass off to grow. 💚🍀

Moving forward, I’ll be tightening up our cancellation and payment policies so I can continue providing high-quality service for our clients, and consistent work for my team.
