From our Webb’s Washing family to yours
Originally, today’s post was going to be about the benefits of soft washing versus pressure washing. But in light of recent events, business can wait.
I'd like to take this time to reflect on what happened yesterday to Charlie Kirk in Utah, to 2 students in a Colorado high school, last week to a woman on a train in North Carolina, 24 years ago in New York City, and all other heinous acts of violence in between.
We don’t have to let violence, anger, and hatred define us. And we certainly cannot accept, justify, or celebrate the acts themselves — or the twisted thinking that tries to make them seem okay. That mindset is unacceptable.
If anything, times like these should remind us of what we owe to each other. To slow down. To see our neighbor as a person first, not an opponent. To choose compassion in a world that too often chooses conflict. To raise our kids with kindness, integrity, and respect — because it starts at home.
If we want a better country, it starts with being better people. It starts in the little things: checking on a friend, smiling at a stranger, helping someone when there’s nothing in it for you. The ripple effects of love and compassion are stronger than the ripples of hate, but only if we create them.
So today, we put down the sales pitch and simply say this:
From our family to yours — stay safe, stay compassionate, and stay committed to being the good this world so desperately needs. ❤️
