Bad exclusion work can cause fire safety issues!
This customer in the Robson Ranch community in Denton Tx called Knock Em Dead Pest Control for a roof rat issue that they were experiencing. During every inspection a Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician inspects the roof for rodent entry points, and during this inspection of the roof the technician noticed there was a piece of hardware cloth used as a screen covering the front of the dryer vent which was not allowing lent to exist the vent and clogged the hole of the vent. The technician removed the screen and all the impacted lent. When the technician brought this to the customers attention, the customer said that’s why it’s been taking my clothes for ever to dry. Not only will this issue prevent a dryer from working properly, it also is a fire danger as lent is very flammable. Fire Ant Dirt Tube 🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜

During a rodent inspection In Flower Mound, TX a Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician found what looked like a subterranean termite dirt tube. But fortunately for this customer it was actually fire ants. Now, fire ants aren’t fun to have, but fire ants don’t cause structural damage like termites. It isn’t typical for fire ants to create dirt tubes on a structure, but it does happen. Will spray foam in a can properly seal rodent entry points?

Absolutely Not! Not only is spray foam in a can messy and looks bad, but rodents and wildlife can chew their way through it to enter an attic. You will see in this video where spray foam in a can was used to seal a rat entry point, and the rats just chewed through it and found their way back into the attic. The best material to use to prevent rodents and wildlife from entering through entry points is metal flashing that is properly cut to cover the entry point and looks aesthetically pleasing. At this customers house in Prosper, Texas they found termites in a hallway on the door trim boards. So they called Knock Em Dead Pest Control.
