Well it happened! The owner of Knock Em Dead Pest Control has a family of Raccoons living in the outdoor fire place. Over the last few weeks we have noticed a large raccoon coming in and out of the outdoor fire place. I set traps out around the backyard and the raccoon would not get in the traps, I even put out free bait, and the raccoon wasn’t even interested in that. A lot of times when this happens, I believe the raccoons have been caught in traps before and then released, so they know to leave the traps alone. I would have installed a one way door, but I was afraid there were babies up there, and babies typically can’t figure out how to get out of oneway doors, and they would die up there, and it turns out there are babies up. So, since the raccoons aren’t in my attic, I’ve decided to give momma raccoon time to get the babies out her self, and then seal up the entry points so we don’t have this issue in the future. If these raccoons were in my attic, I would get them out immediately.

At Knock Em Dead Pest Control we thrive with taking on new and challenging jobs. At this customers house in Argyle, Tx squirrels were getting into their attic. The squirrels were chewing through cedar trim board that is about 40ft high. There is about 30ft of cedar trim board that needed to be covered with metal to seal the entry points and prevent the squirrels from chewing and creating new entry points. But, this wasn’t a typical job for Knock Em Dead Pest Control, most of our wildlife exclusion jobs can be done from ladders, but this customers house is a three story house, with a very steep roof, so using ladders wasn’t an option. To properly complete the job and insure the safety of our technicians, a cherry picker lift was used in order to safely complete this job. No job is to big or to small for Knock Em Dead Pest Control.
