This Vista + Rumble Seat + PiggyBack combo is looking *so good* after a quick clean and general maintenance.

On the surface, this stroller set-up seemed pretty solid (and it truly was in great shape!) Lots of debris is sneaky, though, settling deep into the crevices where vacuums can’t really reach. With my detailing tools, I made short work of the grime, and got this ride ready for some new summer adventures!

Just be sure to follow the no-base instructions outlined in your seat’s manual. They’re also found on side labels (with visuals!) Not sure if you got it right? Give a local CPST a call (👋)

Many infant seats allow for installation without a base. Some infant seats are sold without a base. A car seat base may add to the convenience of your installation, but it isn't there to make your car seat safer. If your car seat manual has instructions for installation without the base, it is absolutely safe to install your seat this way.

Big news for me (and Spruce!)… By month’s end I will be (pending certification completion) a Child Passenger Safety Technician! While it can only enhance my seat-cleaning skills and safety checks, I’m mostly excited to offer install and fit-check services in my local community, at community events! As a teacher-by-trade, I’m *pumped* to teach and support caregivers so that they can keep the kiddos they love safe and secure!

Long time, no post! Life and work are busy and honestly… I am not efficient at this social media “thing” 🙃

Super fun to clean this Twingo for a sweet mama and two sweeter tots! This is a new-to-her stroller (love a good ♻️) and a new brand & model for me, too! Cleaning reflections:

-This is such a cute, user-friendly stroller! While textiles were hand wash only, they cleaned up super well, and removal from the frame was intuitive.

-Prior owners likely stored outside or somewhere damp. Had to combat a bit of rusting with Cleveland’s own .

-There were wasps nests in the wheels 😳 (see note about outdoor storage)

-There was some mildew staining 🦠 Stroller cleaning isn’t as regimented as car seat cleaning, so the owner and I talked through cleaning options. While I can offer suggestions, mold and mildew spores are tricky, stubborn things, so I always make sure parents know the risks, and that I cannot guarantee removal. I was able to remove the visual signs of the mildew using methods outlined by The University of Georgia on textile care.
