”

This Honda Fit came to us after another repair shop had exhausted their options. They referred the client to Taylor’s Auto because of the reputation we’re building for solving the tough diagnostic problems.

Three days later
 we found it.

The crazy part? It wasn’t a major failure. It was a tiny issue hidden in plain sight, but it was enough to trigger the check engine light.

That’s why we always tell our client:

👉 A code scanner does NOT diagnose your car.

When an auto parts store scans your vehicle, it simply tells you which system is reporting a problem. It doesn’t tell you what’s actually causing it. One fault code can have several different root causes, and replacing parts based on a code alone can cost you time and money without fixing the actual problem.

That’s where proper diagnostics matter.

This vehicle came into the shop needing a new transmission
 and it was only eight years old.

The worst part? Our client had only purchased it about six months ago!

Transmission issues can happen for several reasons: lack of maintenance, low or dirty transmission, fluid, overheating, towing heavy loads, or small issues that were ignored until they become major repairs. Sometimes the signs are subtle at first, slipping gears, delayed shifting, jerking, whining noises, leaks, or warning lights.

This is why a pre-purchase inspection is so important when buying a used vehicle! A car may look great on the outside and still have expensive issues hiding underneath.

Before you buy, let us inspect your vehicle. A proper inspection can save you thousands down the road.

This Mini Cooper came to us after it had been sitting awhile. The clutch was slipping, having difficulty shifting and the vehicle was not engaging like it should. We changed out the clutch and it drives like new👏
