🐸🍄 PROJECT LEVEL UP: THE REVEAL 🍄🐸

We are so excited to reveal the Levelled Up fence project!!

We tore out the old deteriorated fence, cleared back over growth, defeated root giants (yes, root giants, not giant roots 😅), and rebuilt it with a brand-new 6' pressure-treated privacy fence and gate; giving this backyard a whole new look, and a whole lot more privacy!

And for us, this project was extra special because we had a few of the kids join the Toad's Crew to help us bring it across the finish line. There's something pretty awesome about building a family business while teaching the next generation that hard work, teamwork, and doing a job right matter.

PROJECT LEVEL UP: We Called In Reinforcements 😅

When there's a fence to finish and tbe weather wants to fight you daily, you call in the Level Up Crew!

A few extra sets of hands joined us over the weekend to help bring this one across the finish line 🏁🙌 There was hauling, raking excess dirt, cleaning up, hardware help and some learning along the way.

Around here, "Family-Operated" isn't just something we put on the logo 🐸🍄❤️

We work together. We teach our kids the value of showing up and working hard. We laugh. We get dirty. And apparently some members of the crew are good at reminding Mama when to take a hammock break 🤣📸

Um... and can we look at that fence line?!

Sometimes when you're building a fence, the property has other plans 🤣

This massive tree, and its equally massive root system, landed right where we needed to work. And moving the fence line just to avoid it was not the answer.

Why? Because a good fence isn't just putting posts in the ground and attaching pickets.

Spacing matters, height mattered, level & plumbing matter, keeping a straight fence line matters... and times like today, convincing a tree root to cooperate matters.

So once we confirmed there was no other way... we started digging. And cutting. And chopping. It felt like we pulled our every tool we owned.

Good thing we're both stubborn and refused to sacrifice the placement or integrity of the fence for a *little* manual labor 😅

A couple hours later, we were triumphant! 🏆

No body said "Leveling Up" was always going to be easy... but doing it RIGHT, that's the whole point 😍

There's something ridiculously satisfying about watching a brand-new fence line come together. Especially when you put the level on it and that little bubble is exactly where its supposed to be: BAM!

We're in a groove over here. Measure. Level. Check it. Check it, again.... Build. Repeat.

New week. New project.

This fence has done its job for a LONG time, but between leaning sections, deteriorating wood, questionable gates, and Mother Nature trying her best to reclaim it, she's tired... 🤣

Project Level Up: Challenge accepted 🐸🍄💪

Bring on the demo, digging, measuring, cutting, building, ALL the sweating, and LEAST one trip back to the hardware to get the thing we forgot 😅

Apparently "relaxing together" looks a little different at this point 🥵🧊

We beat our bodies up between work, projects, kids and LIFE, so we were incredibly blessed recently with a contrast therapy experience

For those that haven't tried it: Sauna ➡️ quick rinse ➡️ ICE COLD plunge

The owner told us that he normally does 40 min in the sauna followed by 5 min in the ice bath.

Ok. Reasonable.

Except apparently, neither of us is reasonable 🤣
I secretly decided, "I'm not tapping out unless Toad does."... what I DIDN'T KNOW was Toad haf apparently made the exact same decision 🤦‍♀️🤣

So:
* 40 min at 166 degrees it was 🥵
* Rinse
* 5 FULL MIN of a cold plunge @ 54 degrees 🧊

Somewhere in the middle.of me telling Toad I was NOT going to make it 5 min and both of us questioning every life decision up until this point, this man looks at me and start quoting Titanic.

"Hang on, Rose!"

And naturally, through chattering teeth, I reply, "I'll never let go, Jack!"

I was done 🤣☠️.

But seriously, WOW!!!! What an experience! We walked out feeling absolutely incredible, and pur bodies felt better than they had in a long time!

We are guilty of taking care of everyone and everything else before ourselves and this is a good reminder than we need a little love at times, too.

Thank you to The Well, Savannah for an amazing experience 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

Pro tip: Establish beforehand whether or not its ok to "Tap Out!" 🤣

☀ Apparently we picked the surface of the sun for this week's adventure. 🔥🌡😅

The mission: Find seats for Toad's van so we can actually pile ALL the kids in when needed.

Sounds simple, right?

It was not. 🤣

We searched HIGH and LOW through the salvage yard...

💛 Found a yellow car: I WIN! (IYKYK)
🏈 Discovered a fellow Buckeye fan that had a VERY bad day it would seem
🚐 Wandered far enough into the abyss to stumble upon an old church can that had definitely seen some things... Complete with the remnants of youth-group snack wrappers AND the seats that we were looking for!!!

So there we were, sweating approximately 47 gallons each, pulling seats out of an old church van in the middle of a junkyard on a day that felt like we were being cremated in the process.... because, this is just apparently who we are now! LOL!

Another completely "normal day" in the life of Toad & Kris... Never. A. Dull. Moment.

And honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way 🐸❤

Still plenty of finishing work ahead: trim, details, clean up and all those things that pull a room together. So... this is NOT the reveal.

We just couldn't hold off any longer showing a little progress 😍
