Hasa lost a treasured friend and employee, Dick Sabo, who passed away on February 23, 2017. Prior to being employed by Hasa, he had a successful career as a pool service technician and volunteered much to the industry including holding office of President of the San Fernando Valley Chapter, IPSSA.
After he became one of the early Hasa Field Sales Representatives over 35 years ago, Dick worked in many capacities for Hasa and contributed to its' growth including working at Hasa's Arizona facility when it was in its' infancy. He also spent many years as Hasa's Sales Rep in the San Fernando Valley area, making good friends who were also customers.
Western Pool and Spa Show Hasa Booths were his responsibility for over 20 years and he was a faithful volunteer with the Show, involved in the Golf Tournaments and other projects in the early years of that Show.
He spent most of his latest years as Hasa's trouble-shooter and guru for "The Liquidator." Dick enjoyed boating, tirelessly restoring cars and supporting Hasa's promotional racing projects.
Most of all, he was so proud of his wife Charlotte, his boys and especially his grandchildren, sharing many stories of their accomplishments.
Always a friend to all, we will miss Dick's smile and zest for life. We will also remember his love of boats and fast cars. Those who knew him were blessed to call him a friend.
