Pick It Up Sacramento We are a small group of Sacramento County residents who care about the condition of our environment. If you have any ideas or thoughts please contact us!

At least once a week our group gathers at a different location in the Sacramento area to pick up trash and recyclables. We are trying to find individuals who want to be active in our community, making a small difference everywhere we meet for a cleaner, healthier Sacramento! lied to you at our meetups, any other supplies you want to bring your are welcome. Recommend bringing:

-Hats/Sunglasses
-Sunscreen
-Hand Sanitizer

Collaborated this weekend with a trash pick up near Ocean Beach, San Francisco, in honor of We Grow Eco's walk across the United Stated (coast to coast litter pickup). This has inspired Pick It Up Sacramento Members, and we hope to organize an event local to Sacramento this early February!

Upcoming litter pick up event!
Sacramento community members have reached out and would like to clean Howe Avenue together. Come join us on Saturday, July 31st as we work together to pick up litter in our city.
Location: Meeting at 1131 Commons Dr. Sacramento, CA
Time: 8:30 am

Please bring your own trash bag (1-2 bags per person works great). Don't forget it will be warm, so bring some water and wear a hat/sunblock.

Yesterday SanJuan Highschool Avid Students (and one little brother!) worked on cleaning up San Juan Park.
7 bags of trash, 1 bag of recycling, and random debris later, the park is that much healthier!

Great to see young people making a difference in their community!

Hello Everyone,
Pick It Up Sacramento is teaming up with Alchemist CDC and Family Market in the Colonial Village/Tahoe Park area.

Info of Pick Up:
Sunday, Nov. 15th
1-4pm
Gathering in the Family Market Parking Lot:
4310 73rd Street

The goals of this event are to promote community and provide residents with an opportunity to observe and identify specific areas in the neighborhood that represent a source of communal pride, spaces that are concerning, and safety hazards. They will be encouraging neighbors to collect litter as they walk throughout the neighborhood for the Scavenger Hunt.

We will be providing rubber gloves and garbage bags for those volunteers who are going through Pick It Up.
