I FULLY agree! I have been able to connect with just a few in this area and have turned most of those connections into good friends. 💜 Id still love to connect with many more! Its all about collaboration at the top! 🙌🫧
I think more cleaning companies should make an effort to connect with other cleaning companies in their city.
For real!
I know we’re technically competitors, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have each other’s backs.
There are going to be times when you’re overwhelmed with work, need an extra set of hands on a clean, have questions about dealing with a difficult client, or just need some advice from someone who understands what running a cleaning business is actually like.
And who better to talk to than someone doing the same thing you are?
I’ve been fortunate enough to connect with other cleaning companies here in Regina, and I’ve received a tremendous amount of help and advice from some of them.
I’m genuinely grateful for that.
I think sometimes business owners get so caught up in competing with each other that they forget there’s more than enough opportunity to go around.
Especially in cities with populations of 250,000 people or more.
One cleaning company being successful doesn’t mean another has to fail.
We can compete for business while still respecting each other, helping each other, and wanting to see each other succeed.
And who knows? The company you help today might be the company that helps you out of a difficult situation six months from now.
I’m not saying you need to share every little detail about how you operate your business.
But I do think there’s a lot to be gained from building relationships with people in your own industry.
I’m curious how other cleaning business owners feel about this.
Do you have relationships with other cleaning companies in your city, or do you prefer to keep to yourself?
