A carpet protector that shifts, punctures, or leaves residue behind isn't protecting anything, it's creating a second job. Carpet Shield, manufactured by Surface Shields , is a water-based, self-adhering protection that grips carpet securely without shifting, while resisting punctures and leaks on demanding worksites.

It protects carpeted surfaces, including stairs, for up to 30 days, then removes clean with no residue left behind.

The wrong tack strip for the substrate either fails to hold or splits the material trying.

Powerhold Tackstrips, manufactured by TRAXX Corporation , are built with premium birch and high-tensile steel nails, substrate-specific by design: 14.5 Ga x 3/4" ring shank nails for wood, 12 Ga x 11/16" for standard concrete, 10 Ga x 5/8" for HD concrete, and 12 Ga x 11/16" DP nails for dual purpose.
Regular width (7/8") handles kick-in installs and small rooms, while Extra Wide (1") meets or exceeds CRI 104 and 105 for larger residential and commercial jobs.

Match the strip to the floor, and the traffic it's built for.

A hollow spot under engineered or solid wood flooring isn't obvious at handover, it shows up later as a hollow sound underfoot and a callback nobody wants.

PH-7800, manufactured by TEC Installation Systems , is a solvent-free, one component, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive engineered specifically to resist that failure, with powerful bond strength for glue down installations over concrete, plywood, OSB, terrazzo, and ceramic subfloors.
