Memorial Day means a little more to me every year.
The Colonel Shah y’all recently heard about being killed at ODU was one of my company commanders when I was in the Army. Last year I also lost one of the most influential people in my life. He taught me and my buddies a lot over the years and was the kind of person you could call no matter the situation.
A big part of the mindset behind starting these businesses comes from people like them. My goal is to build businesses that do more than just make money. I want to build something that supports veterans, gives back to veteran nonprofits, and honors those who are no longer with us.
And while Memorial Day is about those we’ve lost, I also think about the veterans still here fighting battles in their own heads every single day. A lot of us carry things people never see, and I’ve had my own struggles too.
Today isn’t just about a long weekend. It’s about remembering the people who are no longer here, supporting the ones still here, and never forgetting the impact they left behind.
Never forgotten. 🇺🇸
