Flew out to in Cu***ng, GA last year to get certified at Gtechniq’s North American headquarters. First business trip I ever took on my own — and one of the best decisions I’ve made for this business.
Ceramic coatings aren’t something I was comfortable just figuring out as I go. With certain coatings, one bad application and you’re taking sandpaper to someone’s paint. There are a lot of installers out there who skip formal training — some companies will certify you off a single photo. That was never going to be good enough for me.
I wanted to understand the actual chemistry. Which coatings bond directly to clear coat, which ones act as a resin, and how to get consistent results on every car — not just get lucky once. Gtechniq doesn’t cut corners on their process. You show up, put in the days in the classroom and on the car, and they make sure you actually know what you’re doing before you leave.
