Yes, these are ALL blacklegged (deer) ticks. Ticks can come in many different shapes and sizes; even ticks that are the same species can look radically different from each other! Ticks that have been feeding will appear larger than an unfed tick. Feeding ticks may also turn a different color. One characteristic that doesn't change is the shield! Blacklegged ticks have a black, rounded shield that remains the same size, even when the tick is feeding.
