🚨Important: Clean Girl ❌️
️ As an Eco-Friendly Cleaner, I'm really big on researching any and all cleaning products. Recently, everyone has been on the Clean Girl pink foam train. There isn't much research done on it because it is relatively new but I looked up all the main ingredients and yikes I would not recommend using that for long periods of time, on metal surfaces, on aluminum, or around animals at all- especially cats, it is highly toxic, near deadly 🫠 I'm kinda sad because it's labeled as eco-friendly & it's not. Only 2 ingredients are moderately-low toxicity which are the Alkyl Polyglucosides that's created from glucose and alcohol & the Coco Betaine which is the only plant derived ingredient. The rest... well... I would think twice about using. I highly recommend you read this if you use their product or have been thinking about it. Especially if you're an eco-friendly cleaner, this does NOT fall under the criteria to be one.
● 2‐Butoxyethanol is one of the main ingredients and it primarily causes eye/skin irritation, headache, and vomiting. If it is absorbed via inhalation or skin contact, and high exposure causes hemolysis (red blood cell destruction), metabolic acidosis, and CNS depression.
●Benzyl Benzoate: Causes burning, itching, or rashes, high toxicity to cats, and environmental risks, making it highly unsuitable for pets, sensitive skin or open wounds. B.B causes Systemic Toxicity, over-application or ingestion can lead to serious adverse effects like convulsions, tremors, and respiratory failure. It can also cause Mucous Membrane Irritation: It is dangerous if it gets into the eyes, nose, or mouth.
●Sodium Metasilicate Pentahydrate: This ingredient has significant health and safety drawbacks, characterized primarily by its corrosive nature
1. Severe Health Hazards (Corrosive)Skin & Eye Corrosion: It causes severe skin burns and serious eye damage. Eye contact can lead to permanent impairment or damage.
2.Respiratory Irritation: Inhalation of dust or mist can cause serious irritation to the upper respiratory tract, lungs, and mucous membranes, potentially causing damage to lung tissue.
3.Ingestion Risk: Harmful if swallowed, causing severe burns to the mouth, throat, and esophagus.
4.Delayed Effects: Toxicity can be delayed, meaning immediate pain might not occur, leading to longer exposure.
5.Operational & Handling Dangers - Highly Alkaline (Basic): It has a high pH, making it dangerous to work with directly. It is not considered "skin-safe" without, at minimum, protective equipment.
6. Corrosive to Metals: It can be corrosive to metal surfaces, especially when wet.
7. Aluminum Reaction: It can react with aluminum, zinc, and tin to produce flammable hydrogen gas.
8. Environmental and Industrial Limitations - High pH Environmental Risk: While not persistent in the environment, its high pH in concentrated form is acutely harmful to aquatic life.
10. When handling, you must use personal protective equipment, including safety goggles, chemical-resistant gloves, and respiratory protection
