I’m extremely excited to announce a project I’ve been working on for over a year—it’s finally coming to life.

In October 2026, VKR Landscaping and VKR Income Tax will officially merge into VKR Inc.

We will also be breaking ground on our new headquarters location.

Our Mission location will be closing effective immediately, and we will be working remotely in the meantime. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.

This is just the beginning.

No hablo de amores, porque el amor de un hombre no me da de comer.

Hablo de lo que viví… de cuando mis hijas estaban pequeñas y tenía que dejarlas con extraños para ir a trabajar. De los días en que solo tenía cinco dólares para darles de comer. De cuando me cortaban la luz o el agua y aún así tenía que resolver.

Esa fui yo.

Y ahora soy esta mujer fuerte 💪
Una mujer que aprendió a no rendirse.
Una mujer que, aunque a veces sienta el corazón frío, sigue luchando por sus sueños.

Dios me pone obstáculos cuando siento que ya no puedo más… pero no me dejo caer.
No dejo que nada ni nadie me tumbe.

Thirteen years ago, I was left with nothing — I had three children and a grandchild to provide for. We lived in a one-bedroom apartment at my parents’ home.

On 9/13/2013, VKR Landscaping was born.

I started with no degree, no formal education, and no financial backing — just hunger, determination, and the will to survive. Success isn’t about having a diploma or speaking perfectly. Success is about resilience. It’s about waking up every day and refusing to quit.

Today, during Women in Construction Week, I reflect on how far I’ve come and how many women in this industry work tirelessly without recognition. Sometimes the spotlight shines on the wrong people, and the real women who built their businesses from the ground up are forgotten.

To every single woman working in construction — especially the ones who fought their way here — I see you. I celebrate you. I congratulate you.

We are strong. We are capable. And we belong here.
