Our Story

When I was a kid I used to fold my dirty laundry before I went to sleep I couldn’t sleep otherwise. My mom used to have trouble knowing if it was clean or not so she asked me to stop.

I also tried to file my dad’s papers, that were all over the place I put them in alphabetical order. So if your a kid that means the first letter the page starts with. You can imagine what a disaster that was. Oh well, I grew up and I used to organize for my friends in my teens and help them around the house I loved it.

When I moved to Florida I couldn’t find a job so I was hired by someone my uncle knows to help her get organized and to make money until I found a job. When I moved back to Illinois someone pointed out that the closet at my church needed to be organized so I started voluntarily organizing it. The people at my church loved it and talked about it even though I wanted it to be a secret. After I organized the closet I found out that they needed money for the mission trip at my church. So I volunteered my time the lady I helped organize thought that my work was great! So she told me I needed to start doing this as a job. I worked with a mentor for a little bit. Then I decided to start my own business. That’s the story of how I became a Professional Organizer and started It Starts With Faith Organizing. I have been a Professional Organizer officially since March of 2017. I organize homes, apartments, churches, and storage units. I love to organize. I love knowing that I make a difference in my client's lives. I love seeing the difference in the spaces they have after I’ve helped them organize.
