About 3 months ago we had the pleasure of working with Tim on a custom multi color concrete stain for his basement floors. This past weekend we were back to coat and protect his garage floor.

He went with a full flake broadcast in the Domino color pattern and also got his stem walls done. All topped with a highly durable polyaspartic topcoat. We think it turned out really sharp and clean!

We are super grateful for the opportunity, and it means a lot that he trusted us with multiple projects!

Look at this transformation!!

Got to do something pretty cool a few weekends back. My aunt and uncle had been wanting to get their basement floor done for a while and we finally made it happen.

We prepped the concrete by grinding away the old tile glue, repaired the cracks, and laid down a full flake system throughout the whole space. We think it turned out really clean and they was pleased as well!

There is something about doing work for family that just hits different. You want it to be perfect. I can’t thank them enough for trusting us with their project.

Behind the scenes of what the real prep work looks like! Watch till the end!!

What you are watching is day one of a 700 square foot basement job just outside the Omaha metro. This floor had one room with layers of glue left behind from old tile. Just like all concrete does, this older concrete had cracking throughout. On top of all that every single one of those small holes you see scattered across the floor came from carpet strip nails.
When carpet strips get pulled up they take chunks of concrete with them. Every one of those holes has to be filled before anything else happens.

This is the part of the job nobody talks about but everybody benefits from. Diamond grind the entire surface, remove all the glue, fill every crack, fill every nail hole, and get the floor to a point where it is actually ready to hold a coating for decades.
We did not cut a single corner on this one.

The finished floor is coming. Stay tuned because this one is going to be a serious transformation.

Over 100 years of history. Two days to make it look like new.

This weekend we had the amazing opportunity to travel down to Plymouth, NE and help a great family transform this now garden shed floor. Half of this was part of the original farmhouse that has been standing for over 100 years. They wanted to bring it back to life as a garden shed, and we were glad to be part of that. This was 415 sq ft of full broadcast hybrid flake over concrete that had seen a lot of Nebraska winters. Cracked, pitted, worn, but now protected to stand up for whatever Nebraska can throw at it.

Pro tip: if you’re considering a flake coating, i highly recommend checking out smaller flake size. After doing several of these I can’t recommend it enough.
