There have been many calls regarding Ice Dams.
An Ice Dam occurs when the snow on your roof melts, runs down your roof, and then refreezes. When that water refreezes, it creates a Dam that allows water to pool on your roof. Then, the water will start to go underneath the shingles. If your Roof was not brought up to code, then you may start to see leaking in the ceilings along your interior walls.
The City code is for Ice and Water Barrier along the Eaves of your property. If you have not had your Roof replaced within the last couple of years, and you are experiencing Ice Dams, you may want to have your roof inspected.
When having your roof inspected, make sure that Contractor/ Roofer is a Licensed, Insured, and Experienced Contractor/Roofer.
If you have any questions or concerns about Ice Dams at your Property, we are more than happy to answer those for you.
