Automatic Bay info:
Thought we would provide you with some info and quick tips while we wait for additional signage to arrive.
The automatic bay is a touch free laser wash offering 4 different wash packages. Under carriage and wheel well features start at the 10 dollar package (squeaky otter) and above. A full list of packages and it’s services are listed on the sign to the left of the entrance garage door.
To enter, please pull up to the back of the building off Mclymond St. The automatic bay is to the right, line yourself up underneath the clearance bar and with the garage door. During winter months you will have to let yourself into the pay station area. There is a open button mounted to a yellow bollard below the clearance bar, please push the open button to let yourself in. The door will close behind you once the area is clear.
Once inside there is a pay station located on your left, it accepts cash and credit cards and will also dispense change in the form of 1 dollar bills. Please note that cash transactions are tax free while cards will add on tax.
After paying, an automated door will open for you to enter the wash envelope, please follow the directional arrows to get your car in the correct wash position. If you purchased a package with an undercarriage spray, this will engage as soon as the front of your vehicle passes through the door, so drive slow to get the full amount of time allotted time for underneath your car.
Getting your vehicle in the correct wash position is pretty straightforward as there are no tracks or latches that attach to your wheels. The machine will virtually size up your vehicle as you enter and make the necessary adjustments and tell you when to stop. Just keep her straight!
Please note: No plow trucks, trailers, or extra wide trucks such as duallys inside the automatic bay. Please use the manual bay for oversized vehicles. Maximum height is 7’ and maximum length is approx 22’. If you have taken your vehicle through a touch less automatic before with success, chances are you will be ok in our wash.
Although we anticipate minimal hiccups, it’s possible small issues arise as we learn what works best for our area. Extremely cold weather is the most common issue with all automatic bays. This wash will shut down when the temperature falls below 10 degrees and will not reopen until it goes above 12. Outside of extreme weather we hope to have it open as much as possible. If you experience any problems or have suggestions feel free to message us on here. We are learning about the machine just as much you are! We hope you enjoy this new asset to town!
