We completely understand that some people may feel hesitant about paying a deposit, especially with how common scams have unfortunately become.

At the same time, we also have a responsibility to protect our team. Our cleaners reserve time specifically for your appointment and rely on that scheduled income. Unfortunately, we’ve experienced many last-minute cancellations and no-shows over the years, and when that happens, it isn’t always possible to fill those openings on such short notice. That means our cleaners lose out on income they were counting on.

Our deposit policy isn’t in place because we assume the worst about our clients—it’s simply there to help ensure that appointments are booked by people who are committed to keeping them. We’ve found that clients who are unwilling to pay a deposit are, more often than not, the ones who end up canceling at the last minute or not showing up, which is unfair to the cleaners who set aside that time.

For that reason, our deposit policy is 100% non-negotiable. We appreciate everyone who understands that this policy exists to protect our hardworking team just as much as it protects our business.

We hope today has been filled with whatever you needed most. Whether that was backyard BBQs, fireworks, time with family, making memories with your babies, or simply enjoying a quiet day to rest and recharge.

We also know that not everyone celebrates the 4th of July, and that’s completely okay too. If today was simply a day off work for you, we genuinely hope you took the opportunity to slow down, decompress, catch your breath, and spend some much-needed time doing something that fills your cup. Life gets busy, and everyone deserves a chance to rest.

As we head into a new week, remember that it’s okay to ask for help. If your home got a little lived in over the holiday weekend (because let’s be honest… whose didn’t? 🤣), we’d love to help you get back on track.

I wanted to make a post because I’ve been seeing a lot of companies (ours included) running first-time client specials, and I think it’s important to set realistic expectations.

Our first-time special is a 3-hour deep clean for $99. The goal during those three hours is to provide the deepest clean we possibly can in the time booked. But any professional cleaner will tell you the same thing… a true, top-to-bottom deep clean of an entire home usually takes anywhere from 7-12+ hours, sometimes even longer depending on the size of the home and its condition.

We never advertise our special as “we’ll deep clean your entire house in 3 hours,” because that’s simply not realistic. Every home is different. A 900-square-foot home that’s already well maintained is going to look a lot different than a 3,000-square-foot home that’s gone months without a detailed cleaning.

The truth is, when we live in our homes every day, we stop noticing a lot of the little things. Dust on trim, buildup on cabinets, fingerprints on doors, grime around light switches, soap scum that’s slowly built up over time… those are the things professional cleaners notice immediately because that’s what we’re trained to look for.

When a cleaner is given only three hours, they’re doing the best they can to tackle as much deep cleaning as possible. That doesn’t mean every inch of the house is going to be restored to perfection in one visit. It means they’re prioritizing the areas that need the most attention while still giving you the highest quality work they can.

I promise you, we’re people, not robots. If it were physically possible to deep clean an entire home in three hours, every cleaning company would be doing it. But it’s not. That’s why we always encourage clients to book enough time for the results they want.

So if you’re seeing these first-time specials from us or another company, just keep your expectations realistic. A deep clean is a process, not magic. We genuinely want to give you the best results possible, and that’s exactly what we’re striving for every single time we walk through your door.
