We have challenging guests, and ones we meet but for a moment in passing...and then there are the "Pams"...

An Airbnb story to fill so many of my "buckets": A small framed woman, a trip alone from Calgary...husband and daughter each living their lives without her for a short time. A yoga teacher trip in Ft. C, Boulder was her treat to herself. For a short 5 days this amazing woman shared her heart with me, opened her ears to my tragic losses and I mine, to her seemingly insurmountable ones. We cooked together, drank wine together, saw a foreign film together and, I believe, forever (or as long as time and unforeseen occurrence permit), began the knitting of hearts together. In friendship. I shall see her soon, at her vacation home in Utah, that she so generously proffered for a trip for Dylan and I next month. People are everything.

Airbnb hosts are closer to paid partners than employees or investors, who would be eligible for stock options and equity ownership under current SEC rules for private companies.
