Job Description
AJET Services uses pressure washers to clean a variety of things including parking garages, vehicles, restaurant range hoods, industrial equipment, etc. We are looking for anyone that can work night and/or day time shifts (primarily nights). We are especially looking for people who have the potential to move into leadership positions. We are growing quickly and prefer to promote from within. We are looking for someone to start out as a pressure washer crew member, but wanting to be trained to move into a pressure washer crew lead in training.

Hours:

Most of the work we do is cleaning restaurant range hoods. A typical hood cleaning job will start sometime between 6 pm and 10 pm and last 3-5 hours. We enter the restaurant and prep the hood for pressure cleaning by moving appliances out of the way and masking the hood to prevent excessive water spray. We then go on the roof and clean the fan and the duct (usually the crew leader will be the one on the roof). Following that we power wash the hood from the inside. After that, we just tear down and clean up. So if you are a night owl and don’t mind getting your hands dirty this might be the job for you.

Pay:

We have designed a very attainable structural bonus plan. Your base pay will be $15/hr. After two weeks of training on the job, we will implement this bonus plan. ​​AJET Services needs team members who take pride in their work and ownership for their responsibilities. As a team member you have responsibilities to your teammates and our customers. For example, as a team member you have a responsibility to show up to your job on time, be professional, do quality work, etc.
Each week your contributions in these areas will be evaluated and if you had a perfect week you will get a corresponding bonus for your performance as a reward. If you meet all these requirements, you will easily make $19/hr.

Location:

Most of the work is in the area from Salt Lake City to Draper. You will be responsible for getting yourself to the job site, however, most of the time you will be able to carpool with the driver of the pressure washing truck. Occasionally we have jobs that are further away and, in those cases, travel time one way will be paid for.

This is a full-time position where you can expect from 30-40 hours per week. Pay starts at $14/hour. After a 30 day evaluation period if performance is good you will be given a raise to $15 per hour. Higher rates may be considered for applicants with solid prior experience.

Duties:

AJET Services is responsible for cleaning/detailing RVs that are sold. Most of the cleanings are on brand new RVs. You will help clean the inside (vacuum, wipe down, clean windows) and the exterior (scrub, pressure wash, wipedown).

Bonus will be based on performance record (evaluated based on the current bonus criteria and outcome of performance reviews) and a portion of it will be based on division profitability.

Example of the yearly bonus:
40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year = roughly $6,000 would be given to you as a yearly bonus

Details:
We are growing and looking for someone to take over crew lead responsibilities from our current crew lead who will be stepping up to manage multiple crews. As a trainee you will spend several months in on the job training to learn the details of the work and of the specific customers you will be responsible for. Once you are up to speed then you will be responsible for leading your own crew and accountable for getting the jobs done well and on time.

Pay:
Starting rate is $20/hr
Once crew lead trainee is full trained and operating as a crew lead, pay will be bumped based on experience.

Hours:
This is primarily a NIGHT/GRAVEYARD position.

Location:
We service primarily around Utah and Salt Lake County with occasion jobs that are further away (travel time for those jobs are paid). You must have reliable transportation!

Previous experience hood cleaning is not required but would be preferred.

The preferred applicant must have:

- Reliable transportation
- An excellent driving record
- Experience pulling/backing trailers
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Mechanical savvy. We work with equipment that includes small internal combustion engines, electric motors, water pumps, etc. Occasionally the equipment needs some minor maintenance or field repair. Someone who is mechanically-minded and knows their way around a small engine will be strongly preferred.
- A safe place to park a company vehicle and trailer. Once you are a crew leader you will be responsible for driving, storing, and maintaining the company vehicle and trailer. You must have access to a safe place to do this.
- Ability to pass the state licensing exam

When and where will I be working?
This position is remote, so you can work from home or anywhere you have a reliable internet and phone connection. However, you must reside in the state of Utah and preferably in the Wasatch Front. There is a lot of flexibility as to when you work, too. There are weekly tasks that have deadlines and/or are time sensitive, but you can generally choose what hours of the day to work on them. You will need to be generally available to answer inbound phone calls for the business during business hours (8am - 5pm, Mountain Time). This is a part-time job and will vary from week to week in the amount of hours required (expect it to range from 10-25 hours). In the spring when we are busy hiring to ramp up for summer work you will spend more time and in the winter months it may be much slower.

This could potentially work out well for candidates who are a stay-at-home mom who has some extra time while kids are at school etc. and wants to earn some extra money. Most of our office staff are in this situation.

What will I be doing?
The bottom line for you in this position is to make sure that AJET is fully staffed and has a happy stable workforce.

Recruiting: Traditional methods of hiring (i.e. post a job and conduct interviews) have not proven to be the most effective for AJET. We need someone who can go out and actively recruit and find good candidates. We are mostly hiring for blue collar positions, a space that traditionally doesn’t have a lot of recruiting activity. So we need someone who is creative and can come up with out of the box ways to reach the right type of people. This will likely mean cold calling people, connecting with them on social media, networking, etc. Your ability to effectively recruit good talent will be key to your success and AJET’s success.

How much will I make?
Starting pay is $12 per hour.
