🌬️ IT'S FRESH AIR FRIDAY AT FRESH DUCTS! 🌬️
The work week is wrapping up, and we are officially escaping to the fresh air for the weekend!
🏔️ After spending our week making sure the air inside your homes is crisp and clean—like our recent project cleaning out the lodges up at Powder Mountain—we’re heading outdoors to enjoy that legendary Utah mountain breeze.
Whether you're heading up to the resort, hiking around the Ogden Valley, or just relaxing in your backyard, there's nothing quite like a deep breath of fresh air to reset for the week ahead.
🌲✨🛠️ WEEKEND WARRIOR TIP: DIY FILTER CHANGE Before you head out, take 5 minutes to give your HVAC system a little love. It's one of the easiest ways to keep your indoor air fresh and your energy bills low. Locate & Power Down: Find your filter housing (usually near the furnace or behind a return air grille) and turn your system off at the thermostat. Check the "Dust Gauge": Pull your old filter out. If you can't see light passing through it easily or it looks gray and heavy, it's definitely time for a swap. Mind the Arrows: Look for the airflow arrow on the side of your new filter. It MUST point toward the unit (in the direction the air flows) to work properly.
Pro Tip: Write the date on the edge of the new filter so you’ll know exactly when it was last changed!.How often should you do this? In our dusty mountain environment, we recommend checking monthly
Standard 1-inch filters typically need replacing every 30–60 days, while high-quality pleated filters can last 60–90 days. Heading out for your own fresh air escape?
🗺️ Tell us in the comments: What’s your favorite local spot for a weekend reset?
👇We’ll be back on Monday to help you breathe easier! If you notice your vents are blowing out extra dust even after a filter change, it might be time for a deep duct cleaning.📞 (801) 395-2822🌐 freshductscom
