SunnySide SoapWorks Makers of Fine Handcrafted Olive Oil Soaps Welcome to SunnySide SoapWorks, where we make fine handcrafted olive oil soaps. We adopted this soap as our own.

Olive oil soap, also known as Castile soap, has been appreciated for hundreds of years for its gentleness and excellent cleansing qualities. Handcrafted soaps are vastly different from commercial soaps. These generally are not soaps at all but are detergents. The soaps we make are “real” soaps, meaning that they are made with natural ingredients and are not filled with chemicals and artificial add

itives. Glycerin, a natural by-product of the soap-making process is often removed from commercial soaps and sold as a separate product. Our soaps contain all their natural glycerin. Glycerin softens, soothes, and moisturizes the skin in the process of cleaning it. SunnySide soaps are quite simple. They have three basic ingredients: olive oil, water and sodium hydroxide (essential to the soap-making process). Also, we may add small amounts of special oils or herbs which contribute their own beneficial qualities to the product. Many of these added ingredients are traditional ingredients valued for their usefulness.
