💦 Powerwash & Waterproofing Package 💦

The chimney stack was full of efflorescence spots and moss growth (clear signs of water intrusion likely through the crown), so we started by powerwashing the whole chimney stack. Next, we ground out the mortar joints that were cracked and deteriorated, and repointed them with type S mortar. After that, we sealed the cracked crown with a waterproof, flexible sealant. Lastly, we sprayed the whole chimney stack a total of four coats with a high quality waterproofer.

RUST be GONE!!

•The freestanding stove pipe had a decent amount of rust on the outermost layer of the exterior (triple wall pipe). The customer didn’t want to replace it, so we wire brushed as much rust off as possible, and painted the pipe with a high tempered, heat resistant, chrome paint.

•The crown was cracked pretty badly, which is the reason that the chimney stack has been absorbing water, leading to cracked mortar joints, moss growth, and efflorescence stains. Repaired the crown with a waterproof, flexible sealant.
