Toilets for People Join us to bring sanitation solutions to countries in the developing world! www.indiegogo.com/projects/toilets-for-people-join-the-movement

For emerging markets in flood-prone areas, pit latrines and open defecation contaminate the water supply with lethal pathogens. We build clean, affordable, and sustainable sanitation solutions, keeping water safe and saving lives. Our toilets are also portable, making them ideal for temporary relocation situations like refugee camps. We recently won Columbia Engineering's startup competition and r

Work-share Opportunity to live in a private cabin in rural southern Vermont (Town of Jamaica, VT - near Stratton Mountain) - starting this summer.

If you are looking to get away from it all and live for a few months, or longer, in Jamaica, Vermont (or have others in mind that would be a good fit for this) please be in touch.

Free rent and utilities would be in exchange for a 15 hour per week work-share on the property. Responsibilities would include basic caretaking, gardening, etc. No experience necessary.

High speed satellite internet is available with WiFi (20-100 mbps) - suitable for online remote work.

Having a vehicle is recommended but not required. The town of Jamaica (where there is a General Store, etc) and Stratton Mountain Village (where there are restaurants, stores, etc) can be reached by bike - both are a 30 minute ride. Bikes are available for use on the property.

2 month minimum commitment, flexible month to month after that.

This opportunity could be for an individual, couple, 2 friends or small family. Dog friendly.

The cabin is cozy, comfortable and charmingly rustic. There is a full kitchen and bathroom with a composting toilet.
Please forward to anyone you know and trust who you think may be interested.

See below for Airbnb description and video tour (we are looking to take this cabin off the Airbnb market - but for now the site is active. It will be taken off Airbnb once the work-share position is filled)

Hi All!
Planning a winter getaway? As many of you know I've been renting out cabins in Jamaica, Vermont (3 miles from Stratton Mountain) for many a year on Airbnb.

I'd like to offer folks I know (and possibly friends of friends) the chance to book directly through me and avoid the extra fees (which are kind of steep).

You can find the Airbnb links to each cabin below which have lots of info including rates & availability. I added a pic below of one of the cabins from last week - winter is here for sure! Stay tuned for virtual tour videos of each place later in the week.

Also, renting out the Vermont cabins helps support Toilets for People's non-profit efforts to get composting toilets to people in need both in the US and in developing countries.

Please be in touch here if you are interested (or just to say hi!).
Thanks and be well,
Jason

After many successful meetings at the Hungarian-Ukrainian border, TFP visited some developing regions in the Northeastern part of Hungary. They got to Nyírpilis where the Tutor Foundation is helping the local Roma community – a community lacking employment opportunities, running water in their homes, and hygienic toilets. After a meeting between TFP, Tutor, and a community representative, it became clear that a waterless toilet solution utilizing TFP’s design would be an acceptable and appropriate solution for the families at Nyírpilis. Select members of the community are now using TFP toilets, and we look forward to feedback from the community and Tutor to move forward with a larger, community-scale sanitation project.

Unboxing video for TFP Eco-Throne DIY Kit.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, TFP has not been able to access our shared manufacturing facility in Long Island City, NY,. As a result we have not been able to produce our signature product, the TFP Eco-Throne Waterless Toilet.

Rolling with the punches, TFP has developed a DIY version of our toilet that we are able to produce during these challenging times out of our shop in Jamaica, VT. This unboxing video showcases all the parts that TFP provides to get you started on your toilet making journey.

This product is meant for people that are in need of a high quality composting toilet and have the skills and time to make much of it themselves - and are looking to save money in the process. The kit costs $350 plus shipping.

Enjoy the video! And many thanks to Kelsey for allowing TFP to post this for the benefit of others.

For those that plan to purchase or have purchased a TFP Eco-Throne DIY Kit - this gives a step by step identification of all the parts you will recieve.
